We went for a nice dinner which normally it would have been. The air was cranked up and they said couldnât turn it down because itâs locked but found out the owner was there it was only 62 degrees outside and on Lake Huron 7:20pm so not needed anyways. People had sweatshirts and jackets on. We asked to move to another table where it wasnât blowing on us. We had 2 nice staff members but the owner a larger lady with a big birth mark on her face, thatâs how you know she was the owner, she was extremely loud. She was at the booth with 4 other servers and busser all laughing and telling stories but were loud. Then she went behind the bar and proceeded to hang out and continue her boisterous commentaries with the 4 patrons and 2 other staff people and it was so loud I wanted to leave and go somewhere else. So we asked our server if she would ask them to be more quiet so we could enjoy our time. We ordered out food and then the owner came over leaned on our table and said âI heard thereâs a problem hereâ. I did not find this nice but confrontational. She was extremely rude so we explained how unprofessional it was and said just give us our bill for what we had and she said never mind leave. I was extremely upset by her aggressiveness and said we will leave because this is now where I would not spend time for our dinner. This is a nice place normally and we live in the next town over but the man sitting at the bar friends of hers apparently followed us out and proceeded to yell go back to Ohio!!!!! Seriously? Ohio? I donât care if we came from Mars Mexico or even Russia. We were spending good money there since they want $28 for a perch dinner that I can get it in Rose City not far from there either for much less at Faull Inn and have a much better meal. She was rude and confrontational and didnât care if we were from out of town or regulars. Apparently only Her Fun Time mattered not patrons. We will never step foot in there and already told our friends since we all live in West Branch and not from out of town since thatâs what they thought. If you are not HER FRIENDS you are not welcomed there or cared about. If you want a decent meal and a better price and views of Lake Huron go to the hotel by the city park in East Tawas at the Pier and enjoy a better time. Oh and better price and better people. Your besties...
Read moreWe were seated quickly and everyone was very pleasant. The restaurant is airy with great views of Lake Huron. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, apps, a few entrees and dessert. We wanted an actual meal but there were only a handful of choices ranging from a heavy steak and potatoes option to a vegetarian falafel option. The fish options were sockeye salmon which we donât care for and walleye, which else had had the night before. My husband opted for the falafel and I ordered the sesame salad. At first I didnât order the added chicken but then changed my mind and Iâm glad I did. My husbandâs falafel consisted of maybe six tiny meatball-like falafels. They were much smaller than he expected. It was on a huge bed of rice with asparagus and a few other veggies. It was supposed to be served with tahini sauce but if there was any we couldnât find it. Overall the dish was mostly rice, the falafel, while flavorful, was tiny and dry. The dish consisted of mostly sticky rice. I ordered the sesame salad which was supposed to have mango, red onion, and pickled carrots along with romaine. The salad was mostly romaine. The mango was diced in miniscule pieces, literally a centimeter square or less. There was maybe a tablespoon of diced mango in the entire salad. The carrots were the matchstick ones you buy in the bag at the grocery store and there were very few of those. It was also supposed to be topped with crispy Chinese noodles but they were barely noticeable. They were stingy with the dressing as well. The highlight were the two crab Rangoonâs that came with it. They were hot and crispy and delicious. The grilled chicken I added was fine, tender but not particularly flavorful. But without the chicken and the Rangoonâs, this salad would have been a one star. Service was fine, wine was fine....
Read moreWe went there today. We got there at 4 oâclock. there were only two other tables in the restaurant when we got there. There was six adults and two children in our party. three of us showed up first and we had to wait 10 minutes for the other half of our party to come. We never got any drinks while we were waiting for our party showed up, it took quite a while before someone came and gave us drinks. we ordered appetizers the calamari very small portions where to order two for the table. And we had to get up and ask for silverware. We ordered our food the waitress forgot to take the order for one person. I had to go get her. when the food finally came proximately 45 minutes later it was very uneventful. The hamburgers were over salted . They forgot to put bacon on one. The southwest Caesar salad was nothing I would ever order again. my husband ordered chicken wings with mango. We thought it was mango sauce but they just sliced mango and put it over the top of four chicken wings and charge $14. This was not our first time coming here we had been here one other time and everything was very good. Thatâs why we wanted to come back and celebrate my granddaughter 17th birthday .This time everything was terrible. It was a very disappointing meal that cost over $160. Will not...
