With the high water levels this year much of the beach is nonexistent, but there is still some beach to enjoy as well as the park area with restrooms, footbath, pavilion and walking paths. The south side of the pier had the best swim area with a sandy bottom as far as you could go. The water, for the 1st part of July, was a very comfortable temperature for swimming. A few weeks ago, we brought a friend's daughter up north for the first time. She loved stopping at this park and liked there being a food place ( Tony's Taco's).
