First time here. Understanding the establishment is rather new, this is an accurate review. This is a six lane alley, and on this occasion, three lanes were down. We waited about 30 minutes for a lane to open. We ordered food while we waited. The roof was leaking in multiple spots, and leaked all over my jacket before I noticed. When it was pointed out to staff, not even an apology was offered. The food was ok, but over priced. The wings were $11 for 8 flats and legs and they were overcooked. We ordered 3 sodas, an order of chips/cheese, fried pickles, cauliflower, 2 orders wings, mozzarella flats(4), and a burger. $84.
The coffee, "made fresh in a French press" was cold, and awful. If you are going to serve fancy coffee, know how to make it. And invest in real cream instead of the powder.
Several times, waited at the bar while the bartender served others who came up after us. Very disappointing service.
You have an amazing opportunity to run a great place, but the owner's inexperience shows when he can't even service his own lanes. The lanes kept having to be reset during the two games we played.
Over all, the experience was...
Read moreThis place was a complete disappointment as soon as we arrived. . We were told over the phone that if we got there within the hour theyâd hold a lane for us (she offered to hold one for us cause they werenât busy yet). When we walked in & sat down at the counter to get a lane & shoes, we were ignored for ten minutes with 3 different waitresses standing there talking to each other, ignoring us completely while literally standing right in front of us. When they broke up their âchatâ with each other, the lady said they didnât have any lanes open & there was two unoccupied as we had the time to watch & try to decide which one we wanted to use. We told her that we just spoke to someone 30 minutes ago & they offered to hold a lane for us if our arrival was within the hour. Offended & upset canât describe the discrimination & profiling we felt. Weâll never be going back & will strongly discourage that place forever. Such a shame on the owner cause word of mouth spreads very fast. Funny thing is, is that weâre friends with to him & they didnât know that. Never judge books by...
Read moreMy family and I came from Kentucky to visit with our families and decided to go to Tawas Axe N Lanes for some fun. We enjoyed the bowling and axe throwing but felt as if we were being rushed and could not enjoy our time in the establishment. We had no idea it was league night and was told we could not bowl, then was told we could but had about 2 games we could bowl for before the league came in. Right after we got our receipt for bowling we asked to throw axes, was asked if we wanted to close our tab 3 times while bowling, so we paid for our bowling. Moving on to the axe throwing we finished up, ordered a pitcher of beer, sat and talked with family we were hounded on paying for the axe throwing, and paying for the pitcher of beer while sitting at our table trying to enjoy spending time with family. We paid our bill as we were leaving as we intended to do so. If the staff wasnât so pushy on paying and let you enjoy your time I would...
