Taylorville Cinema — Local services in Taylorville

Unfortunately the Taylorville Cinema is not being maintained. The building is not be kept, the equipment is failing nearly every time we are there and tonight the AC must have failed in cinema 2. The carpets/floors are always sticky and mostly black from the layers of dirt. The seats are filthy and not being cleaned. Tonight the carpet was sticky starting in the staircase and all the way up. Seats were very dirty. Very warm due to failing AC. The projector failed. The movie started 20 minutes late. I doubt we will return even for the low price of admission. It is sad and disappointing to see our local cinema...

Absolutely a great place to go for a movie with or without the kids! $11 gets you your ticket, large coke and large popcorn WITH A REFILL! The best current movies, AND the staff is EXCELLENT! The owner even comes to the front to talk before the movie welcoming and thanking everyone for coming to the show! I go a lot with my wife and other times with the wife and kids....

Just left the Godzilla X Kong 1pm viewing due to people around me talking and throwing candy boxes around the theatre. I approached staff to see if the noise could be handled or if I could just be refunded and was told to stop being rude to kids, and then was rudely refunded after an attempt to call their boss failed.
