Legendary Small Town Trading Co. — Restaurant in Taylorville

I went to this place last night with my wife and my aunt and uncle. What an amazing place. The atmosphere is outstanding. It's obvious that a lot of care and attention was paid to every detail. I was shocked to find this place in Taylorville. I live 45 minutes away. The drive was well worth it. The staff was very responsive and friendly. If you go, be sure to go all of the way to the back to see the speakeasy. We didn't eat there because we didn't know that they served food. But the food looked and smelled delicious. We all had cocktails and wine. I had an Espresso Express martini. I've been looking for a martini that I actually enjoy for quite some time. Because it makes me look sophisticated. Not. Stopped by for breakfast and a coffee after seeing pictures of their menu online. Had a lazy morning so didn’t end up getting there until about 1130 just to be informed they don’t serve the breakfast flatbreads after 1100. Not the first time I have been disappointed but at least it’s a different place to go to in town. Comfy environment and girl at the register is nice. Flat bread pizzas are really good which is why we come here. But really lacking staff / “service” if that’s what you want to call it especially when an event is going on.
