It has taken me several months to write this review as honestly every time I think about it it makes me mad. I have never been gaslit and condescended to like that by anyone. I purchased an MC6700P online from a store in California and after having no end of problems with it I mailed it back only to be told there was nothing wrong with it. I finally got ahold of Janome which I can tell you was no easy feat and they gave me permission to take the machine into Sewcial Creatives. I spoke to Erin and she assured me that she would have her repair person take an in-depth look at he machine. She also said she would be more than happy to look at the videos I had made of the issues as she said she did not think the shop in CA had even bothered to look at them. A week after I dropped off the machine I got a phone call from Erin saying she wanted me to come in so that we could sit down and “sew together “. Of course I had no idea that was code for Erin was going to show me how to “do it right”. All this time I thought someone was working on the machine but they hadn’t done a thing to it nor do I think they planned to. I came in to “sew” and was at the machine all of 30 seconds before just as I suspected Erin was fixing to give me a lesson. Apparently she didn’t realize I’ve been sewing professionally for 5 years. I guess she also didn’t realize I have 3 other machines I’ve never had a single problem with. Her attempts to use the hump jumper on the scissor case we were working on was absolutely hilarious and after she had made a complete mess of it she pronounced it looked pretty good. Well Erin I sold 45 of those cases last year and I can guarantee no one would have bought that one. She also wanted to prove there was nothing wrong with the feed dogs and she was doing quite well until I told her to put that pedal down at which time she proceeded to make another mess. Stitch lines crossing over the other despite her best attempts. My biggest mistake was leaving the machine there. I should have called Janome and explained this person had no intention of figuring out what was wrong with the machine as she had already been told by the local Janome rep that the CA store found absolutely nothing wrong with it and I think that’s exactly why Erin didn’t bother to look at a single picture and the one video she watched she claimed she couldn’t see anything. I thought several times about unloading it on someone on facebook marketplace but I wouldn’t want someone to do that to me so I’ve decided to just write it off as a bad business buy and save up for a Juki or a Bernina. You couldn’t pay me to buy fabric in this shop or take a class. If you want a good machine go get something, anything but DON’T buy a...
Read moreI recently purchased a Bernina and was sewing on it daily. Saturday, I got to my machine early in the morning and it was not stitching correctly. I was on YouTube and Facebook groups trying to figure out what was wrong. Not successful! I went online to see who could service by Bernina and found Sewcial Creatives in my area. It was at the end of the day and Erin was so kind in allowing me to bring it by for them to look at. I thought at least this would be a diagnostic to figure out what’s going on. I was pleasantly surprised that Oscar took the time and found out what the problem was. I was sooo happy that it was a minor fix and I was on my way back home to finish my projects. I can’t thank Erin and Oscar enough for taking the time to “help”. Customer service 100%. ...
