where did my photos go?! Conveniently missing now??
I have eaten both dine in and take out. The portions are NEVER consistent! If you order delivery you pay alot in delivery fees from whomever you choose in addition to a tip... and they give like HALF the portion in delivery plus take-out than you get dine in! EVERY-SINGLE-TIME! I had ordered 2 deliveries & 2 take-out orders. I will NOT do a delivery with bellagreen ever again. As far as take-out, I looked at the order this time before leaving & of course AGAIN the portions were ridiculous! There was hardly any pasta in the small bowl the chicken parm comes in & the 2 tiny pieces of meat could fit in the palm of my small female hand. No joke! So I asked for a manager, told him about this problem & showed him. After he sees the small pieces of meat he says he's sure there is another piece below the broccoli. I moved the food around & showed him. So instead of bringing more meat, etc. He wanted to take the bowl back to the kitchen to show the cooks not to do this. I asked if he could just bring out extra instead of taking it back but he wanted to show the cooks. So my food traveled back to the kitchen & who knows where & what was really done with it. Hopefully nothing gross because I did eat it. They put in an extra piece of meat, but the pasta was still lacking. While the manager was in the back I looked at the (Queen with pepperoni gf crust) pizza & to my surprise the crust has significantly decreased in thickness! It's practically paper thin! GROSS! It tasted different as the texture is more gewy like but thin with burnt to a crisp edges. The pizza also got cold fast because there's practically nothing to it. I drive about 30min to get to Bellagreen & order these 2 "favorite" dishes of mine. However I will not be ordering this pizza again, it is not good. The crust use to be amazing, a bit thicker & the pizza tasted like it wasn't even gf! It "was" so good! They ruined it. When the manager returned with my pasta dish I showed him the pizza & he said the crust has not changed. I'll just make my own pizza for now on. It's definitely no longer worth the drive, in store cost nor delivery cost. $35 for these 2 items in store and about $65 delivery not including tip.... and FOR WHAT?! The manager was kind enough to open the two doors for me, being in a wheelchair. These two doors are very heavy, especially with the wind, & I always need help getting in/out which 99% of the time customers help me unless I am with someone. They need to install the feature (button) to open at least one side of the doors for...
Read moreCame here on Mother’s Day to have a quick dinner with my husband and kids. My 2 year old toddler was playing with a pretty flower vase set on the table. She leans over to have my 4 month old “smell” the flower and naturally she spills the contents of the vase on my 4 month old baby. I thought it was just water and harmless until I started smelling the bleach all over my baby, the table, their clothes, the skin, and the car seat. I immediately asked a waitress who confirmed to me they put bleach into the vases to preserve the flowers and so I start cleaning my kids. I took my 2 year old to the bathroom to wash up and my husband took the baby to the car to change her clothes and wipe her skin. When our food was brought out the manager came to our table to which I proceeded to tell him what had happened and ask why they put bleach in a vase that little children can potentially play with. His response was (verbatim) “Well, who was messing with it in the first place?” Being shocked and speechless was an understatement. All I could say to him was “wow, ok” at which he proceeded to tell me “you know what, let me get you the number of someone that can help you”. Almost as if saying I don’t want to deal with you right now, call this person. He comes back and hands me the card of the general manager and that’s when I proceeded to tell him that his response was incredibly rude and uncalled for. He proceeded to say that he didn’t know wether I was going to ask to pay for the car seat at which I responded that I never asked for payment for a car seat. My concern came from bleach being spilled all over my kids and in a car seat that I had to put my baby in to go home. I never asked for payment for a car seat, I never asked for our food to be refunded, I never even asked for a discount for our meal. I asked for my food to be packed up as I was extremely humiliated and did not want to stay and eat there. I left the restaurant rushed and in tears. On Mother’s Day. The lack of empathy, tact, and kindness from, Cristian, the manager, is something I have never experienced before. No one should leave an establishment in tears at the way they were treated specially a mother on...
Read moreDescribed as a "green" restaurant, you expect a health and environment-inspired menu and location, and you get a gourmet fast-casual strip center restaurant that is neither green nor clean. They have a wide range of vegetarian options (some of which can be made vegan). The big problem with this counter-service restaurant is that you expect a clean and health-inspired gourmet eatery, but the restaurant was uncommonly dirty; tables and counters were sticky, the floors were visibly dirty, there were numerous flies, the window sills had food on them, etc., and the food was pretty good but oily; all three of us needed to wash our hands after eating different meals, and that's an oddity. Specifically, I expected the OG vegetarian pizza to feel healthier, but the olive oil was dropping everywhere, and although it had a thin crust, it was a bit soggy. The French Toast was okay, and the burger was good enough. The portions were sufficient; you should be satisfied. Overall, the food wasn't bad, and I suspect they have some great things on the menu that keep people coming back. The interior was okay; they tried to make it "green," but it's missing something, but I'm not sure what; restaurants like Flower Child are much cuter. I have fond memories of the original Houston location and have tried this location in the past but with poor results. This restaurant has all the potential to be fantastic but isn't. I'd like to say, "I'll be back," but I probably won't anytime soon. This restaurant remains popular, though, and I can see why many people like the food. Regarding how dirty the restaurant was, I hope I caught it on a bad day, but I'm not holding my breath, YMMV.
P.S. The desserts look great but I didn't get a...
