Iāve been going to this salon for about 2 years every two weeks faithfully and never had a problem until this evening. They typicallly take the last customer at 7:30, because they close at 8, which I get. I arrived at 7pm, to ensure enough time for services. I normally take a few moments to decide the color I would like, but was asked several times within a matter of seconds by the owner to select a color. He then asked if I would mind having my mani and pedi at the same time......ok sure. Acetone was put on my nails to soak off the previous color (which Iām used to), but not even 5 minutes later, they are literally forcing the color off my nails with a filer! I asked were they in a hurry, maybe I should return the next day, but they seem to not understand what I was saying. They never placed a towel on my lap which left nail dust all over my black pant.... strike 1. My nails are being polished while my toes dry, and once your nails are done, if they feel your toes are still wet, they will place you under the dryer. This lady went and got Saran Wrap to place over my feet! Strike 2! I paid for my services, and I am a VERY GOOD tipper, but I was so dissatisfied I left a only $2 tip because I still felt obligated after the bad service. The male owner made a sarcastic chuckle, which fueled my anger more. Strike 3! I was willing to go back, but keep going in the day time versus night, but after the ignorance of the owner I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis used to be my go to place, even after the new owners took over and stopped the $40 combo. Never had an issue until today. Yesterday I came in and got a matching color with regular polish on my toes and no-chip for my hands. The color on my toes is the correct color, the color on my hands is not. Pretty sure she used the Mint Green when I wanted Carribbean Island, and thought I saw bottle, but I didn't see the label for the other so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I noticed the difference when I got home and the shop was closed. I went back today to point it out and see about getting it changed. They first tried telling me that there can be a slight difference between the shellac and regular polish, but when I pointed out that my nails were green and my toes blue, she argued that it was the right match. I grabbed the swatch and showed here the color I selected, and the color I got and she said "No, I remember you and they match". When I stated that I saw the Mint Green bottle, she said "well then we can check the tape, but it is the right color". I asked if I could get it fixed or set an appointed for the morning, and she told me it would be $20! Twenty dollars to fix their mistake!? Nope. I have been a regular here for 5 years, and after today, never again. $78 for unmatching nails and rude...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in the day before thanksgiving. I got a pedicure with acrylic toes, and an acrylic full set. The lady who did my toes was rushing and cut me twice.. I didnāt say anything my toes looked good and my pedicure was relaxing but I should have said something with the cuts. Anyway I get my nails done the lady was so sweet, and actually spoke good English which is surprising. But itās the of thanksgiving and three nails have broke.. mind you I havenāt done anything extra no cooking nothing. My thumbs both cracked and eventually came off one came off while I was pulling my pants up the other while putting my phone on the charger, and my middle finger cracked while brushing my hair and came off. It is ridiculous that the day after I get my nails done they are cracking and breaking off.. I used to love this place but Iām not sure whatās going on with the quality now, $119 down the drain. This was my favorite shop in homewood Iāve been coming since I moved here 5 years ago, I havenāt went this past year due to money being tight, seems I shouldnāt...
