This place has an extremely unassuming presence from the outside. They have a menu so diverse, I wasn't expecting anything to be done particularly well, but boy was I mistaken. When you walk in, you will notice some slot game machines on one wall and a bar to your right. There are tables along the wall and a whole separate room with more tables/booths. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, perhaps around 14:30 and we were greeted by the Bartendress Sarah informing us that we could have a seat anywhere we'd like. We chose the high top table by the slot machines near the bar. Sarah brought us menus and took our drink order- water for me and coke for my BF. I wasn't feeling well, as I had not eaten all day and was feeling carsick. It was then that I recalled that soda water with bitters helps nausea- so I asked Sarah for that as well- without ice. She kindly asked whether I'd like a pint or a smaller glass, I responded the pint. When she brought it over, she asked if it was the right color, as she wasn't sure how strong to make it. I tasted it and it was perfect. My BF ordered the burger cooked medium with cheddar cheese, fried egg, and bacon with fries. I ordered the soup of the day which happened to be like Rueben- I forget the actual name of it- broth with mainly corned beef and sauerkraut, with some potatoes and carrots. It also came with some saltine-like crackers. My soup and the bitters slowly revived me from the brink of death. Thank you Sarah and thank you 5th quarter! My BF loved his 7oz burger. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The fries looked like they were battered and reminded me of when id ordered get fish and chips at an Irish pub in the past. We were both happy with our decision to eat here and will definitely be back., not only because we want to try more of the food, but because of Sarah's customer service. Burger $7 + sharp cheddar $0.95 + fried egg $0.95 + real bacon $0.95 Bowl of soup $3.79 Coke $2.25 Bitters and soda water $2.25 Meal + tax = ~ $20

The 5th Quarter Tap - located on historic Dixie Highway in downtown Homewood, Illinois, is a lovely, independently owned and operated bar and grill sure to please any fan of sports and their families! The food is outstanding, the servers are a hardworking and helpful delight to get to know, the bar is well stocked, and you're sure to meet some of Homewood's finest here. They also have some slot machines, if that's your thing. This bar is beloved by many of the locals. Definetly stop in to see for yourself why so many local residents become dedicated regulars at this wonderful tap. Heads up! Parking can be a bit dicey. Do not hesitate to park across the street for a moment, to run in and ask the staff there about where it's ok to park to ensure your night doesn't end with an avoidable parking ticket!

The pizza here took me back to my childhood. It was the freshest and most tastiest pizza in the area. This pizza will have you coming back for more. I've bought 2 extra large pepperon's and a medium sausage because most of my family of 7 loves pepperoni and it was more than enough. The call in was easy and the staff was friendly and pickup was a breeze. I recommend anyone to try this pizza. You can t go wrong.

Maybe I’m an outlier, but I don’t like the food here! I tried the pizza a couple times years ago, and didn’t enjoy it either time. So there was a ~10 year period where I never went back here, until a few weeks ago.

I decided to give them another try, so I’ve been twice in the last month. The first time, I got a burger and it was not good at all. It was too thick and bland, it tasted like they didn’t put ANY seasoning on it at all. I ate less than half of it and the rest went in the trash. The second time, I ordered the pizza special on Tuesday. Note that the special is NOT applicable on a small pizza - I didn’t know that until I called to place my order.

Anyway, I did not like the pizza at all. First of all, they skimped on the toppings. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and it was cut into pretty big squares (like twice the size of Aurelio’s square slices). But each huge square only had 1 or 1.5 pieces of pepperoni, whereas there would probably be 4-5 pepperoni on a slice of Aurelio’s pizza. The sauce/cheese had a decent flavor, but the crust was doughy and bland. I found myself just eating the cheese and the 1 pepperoni on each slice and not eating the crust. I wouldn’t order it again, even at the discounted price.

Service was friendly, though! I just wouldn’t come here for...

If I could give them 100 stars I would! While the drinks were amazing and the pizza was delicious (obviously!!) the service we received WAS PHENOMENAL! I can not for the life of me remember our servers name, but my receipt says Deb so I am rolling with that. She was ON IT! A smile the ENTIRE time. So attentive to everyone & every detail. We did things a little wonky that may have confused some, but she handled everything flawlessly! We were given a ton of room to celebrate, the pricing was unbelievable, everyone was just amazing! I can not wait to plan something else here! They are going to make me a regular. When I called in February, it was after calling around local bars to secure a spot. I got a bit discouraged when I contacted Lassen's and was told to accommodate our 25-30 person party it would cost $2000 for 3 hours, which would include NOTHING. We were told they would be losing money by accommodating us... - so glad we didn't fall for that one! When I reached out to the 5th Quarter, I asked what the cost would be to reserve, and she said FOR WHAT?! You are bringing us business...everyone will eat and drink, why would we charge you for the spot!? AMAZING! This was hands down the best experience I have ever had in throwing a party! Thank you all!!! We will definitely...
