Harbor Freight — Local services in Thornton

Be very careful if and when you go to this store! There is something going on here, I haven't been able to figure it out, but when I do, I'm going to make sure everybody knows.

The workers here are curtious and helpful. They greet you and say things like, "Good morning! "Hi!", "How are you?", and "Can I Help You Find Anything?" Some will ask, "Are you finding everything all right?" and if not, they appear to be happy to show you. There were two that even asked, "Do you have any questions?" That, "If you come up with any, be sure and ask." What? Then there is the merchandise! It's a trap of some kind! As I went to get what I came for, I saw some other things I needed. Then, after I got what I came for and the other things I needed, I found some things that I didn't know I needed, but I did! They were perfect solutions to other issues I have, but I didn't know there was a solution to fix it. The weirdest thing of all? After getting what I came for, the other things I needed, and the solutions to the issues I had that I didn't know there were solutions too; I didn't spend much over what the original item I wanted cost. How, you ask? The savings! Not only is everything a good deal to begin with, but almost everything is on sale! Now, the drawback was that I only planned on being there 10 to 15 minutes, but I was there an hour and 20 minutes. I thought the Love of My Life would be angry with me. But she wasn't! You see, the solutions to the issues I had that I didn't know had solutions? Well, a couple of those issues were actually issues with things that affected her, and now they were solved! Another customer and I were looking for a torque wrench and this employee Chris was helping the other customer look threw the boxes that were on the shelf because there was supposed to be 4 in stock I stayed in the background to see if they found them they didn't find them Chris tells the customer he will look in the back the customer said no it's OK and left Chris was putting the product back on the shelf from them looking through them and I asked Chris if he didn't mind looking in the back for me because I also needed 1 he said sure and as I was waiting for him to finish what he was doing he then said to me I have to go work the registers if you can get someone else to go look in the back for you and he ran off to the registers. I've never had anything like this happen in this store before and I was like what just happened and a few minutes later I ran in to Chris a couple isles over and I told him that is bad customer service and told him I would be doing a review on the service I...

Went here for the first time simply because it was on my way home and I needed a stud finder. Before I even walked in, there were employees sitting right outside the door smoking so I had to walk through a cloud of smoke just to enter the building. I asked for help locating the stud finder and was told “ I think they’re in the next aisle”. They are actually three aisles over I’m not sure why I even bothered asking someone when I ended up having to wander around and find it myself. Then when I go to pay the cashier didn’t even acknowledge me, just wrang me up asked for my phone number and then didn’t even tell me the total all while she was taking a bag of hot Cheetos and pouring them into her mouth. I cannot believe a well known store like this would allow that to happen while helping a customer!! This will be my last visit here as I’ll stick to the big retailers ( Home Depot and Lowe’s ) where at least they have a little bit of class and customer service. This place is...
