I had the pleasure of visiting Tie & Timber Lodge and Event Center in historic downtown Timpson, TX, and I can’t say enough great things about this place! From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Debra & Paul Smith, made us feel right at home with genuine Texas hospitality.

The lodge is an absolute game-changer for the area. It is the perfect spot to unwind with a fine cigar, good bourbon, and even better conversation.

The evening was filled with great food, lively discussion, and friendly locals stopping by to welcome us—a true testament to the small-town charm and community spirit of Timpson. And let’s not forget the incredible steak dinner prepared by Debra—absolute perfection!

Whether you’re passing through East Texas, planning an event, or just looking for a unique getaway, Tie & Timber Lodge is a must-visit. The Smiths have built something truly special here, and I can’t wait for my next stay!

Amazing place to chill. The owners, Paul and Debra Smith decided to promote their home town with a unique establishment. Tie and Timber is a lodge plus some. A cigar lounge if you enjoy cigars. Great food. Right downtown so you will get the train experience like in the movie my cousin Vinny.
