El Rancho Grande Restaurant — Restaurant in Timpson

When I say ZERO STARS should be an option. First and LAST time here without a doubt. Service was so unorganized. Took my family here and NEVER have a been to a restaurant that they bring out one persons plate at a time, let alone Ive NEVER experienced taking my children somewhere that they were the LAST to get there food. I let the stale chips slide, the waitress absence of multitasking still slide BUT my kids food last? An no they were in no way shape or form making a seen being load disturbing anymore making a mess, NOTHING so there was NO reason that should have ever occured. They have paper signs up that you pay at your table yet when it was time to pay my waitress was stuffing her face in the kitchen instead of checking on her table then there was a lady waiting to pay for a while for her to go order and no cashier at the register while my waitress and another worker told her twice she had people waiting, I guess no one else could help out. Have eaten here many times and it was always pretty decent! The service is nice and they are always right there to refill your chips and salsa.. which are great! But besides that we were very unsatisfied with the food we had today! Ordered the el rancho burger, asked if could have pickles on the burger ( which is listed in the menu) and told no, asked if these cheese that came on it was actual queso and the assured it was sliced, it was queso, the burger was over seasoned and the bun was hard and cold and to add I counted about 8 fries that came with the burger. Also ordered the taco salad, it was good but it was also cold and the condiments that come on the side was scarce. Was quite disappointed in the food! And after paying so much money for a meal I think satisfaction should always be met! The atmosphere is nice. Quite, but busy! The best thing I ate was the chips and salsa.. it was steaming hot and I could almost just drink it...

Their taco meat my son ordered was maybe the worst I ever had. No taste. Bland as dog food. Zero taste ...I did better with the chicken tostada's which were ok. Wife loved her soup. Did not really care for their salsa. It was more green than red? We would not return just based on the premise of how can a Mexican restaurant screw up a simple taco!
