Theory Jersey Shore Outlet — Local services in Tinton Falls

I’ve been a longtime Theory customer and have never had an issue — until I visited the Theory store at Jersey Premium Outlets. Last week, I was treated rudely by the manager in a way that made me feel profiled based on my Jewish identity. I decided to return today for a scheduled appointment with my regular sales associate, simply to pay for three items I had selected.

Unfortunately, the manager continued the same behavior — speaking about me to staff inappropriately and making me feel unwelcome. I didn’t ask for anything; I just wanted to complete a purchase. People walking into stores in an outlet is either a divine interference or a forgettable accident. This place turned out to be the former. They have mask mandate and provides hand sanitizer at every corner of the store.

They have some fine collection of dresses both for men and women and attractive discounts. We got few shirts, a pant and a dress. Most of them had a default 40% off and a 25% additional discount. The trial rooms were well maintained too.

Both the staff working at this location were kind, helpful and informative. Special callout to Jesse who helped us wherever needed and never went overboard in the name of being around.

A must visit store if you are at this premium...

Not sure what the store associate’s problem was but he looked like he couldn’t believe people who looked like me (brown) could afford to shop AND return clothes at this store. Kept frowning at us and checking and rechecking my receipt to make sure I was actually returning the right thing and of course wished the other customers goodnight but not us.
