Dollar General — Local services in Tiverton

This is a great place to go to when you need something cheap, they have a little bit of everything, this location took over an old Brooks Pharmacy that had been vacant for years, tiverton lost Grand Central and years later got Tom's market that is rather small And over priced, so it is nice to have an alternative that has better deals! They just opened another location on the other side of tiverton where Ranger school my childhood elementary school used to be, I only wish that they would have made this location look like the new one (modern) it would be nice to see some more fresh and frozen foods as well but the selection is pretty decent. They could also benefit from a paging system as well as a dedicated stock person and at least 2 cashiers on any given shift. The manager Julie is EXTREMELY RUDE. I had a stroke and my occupational therapist and I do weekly breakdowns so that every Saturday my therapy dog and I can go and do the transactions. I went today and she said I can only do two transactions. I have been going there for over 6 months and there has never been a problem. I always let people go in front of me, I am always very courteous to the employees and to other customers. I am never one to complain about anything. If one of my digitals do not come off then I do not stand there and complain about it and have them try and fix it, I just pay the difference. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE WITH SUCH A RUDE MANAGER. Oh and I even heard the manager complaining about customers buying lots of products then selling them at their store. Pretty convenient for the town of Tiverton to have a store like Dollar General to go to apart from our usual small convenience store (i.e. Cumberland Farms etc) so to have a place that has more variety in town is nice. All in all I think Dollar General is a great store to have access to, their hours are great and they usually have what I need at a decent price albeit if you are looking for a legitimate "Dollar Store". This is not that, they do not have as many items for a buck as say Dollar Tree would but they do have some decent deals. I purchased a Dirt Devil with all the attachments for $20.00 + tax and I still use it daily a year later in my kitchen. To the looker goes the spoils.
