This comment is for the young man who was working yesterday morning (Thursday, February the second) I understand those who are simple minded might look at me just the way you did yesterday.
Was I looking my best in my sweat pants and tshirt? No makeup and hair in a quick pony tail? Absolutely not. Did I seem to be a bit too frazzled? Maybe I wasn't searching through the boxes of shoes as leisurely as I would have like to have been. Sadly your actions made it blatantly clear to me that you assumed I was obviously a thief. You might want to consider working on your ability to come off as a little more unassuming in your future attempts at nabbing a thief. Understand that people have pirifial vision and can actually see quite well when you are watching them instead of the shoe boxs you are pretending to organize and lastly try not to make it so obvious by following them so closely throughout the department. What I don't understand is why you just simply didn't approach me. Ask me if you could help me find what I was looking for. That would seem like a reasonable response to me coming from a person with that kind of job title. I'm going to try and give you a little more understanding of that person you falsly perceived as a thief. Believe it or not I am an over the road truck driver. I paid cash for a home that I only get to see 4 days out of each month. While I am at home there is no time for me to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Truth is I really had no time to be indulging myself with buying myself something nice, but that's par for the course. As I do every month I had actually dropped off my truck at a shop for maintenance the day before and just a few hours before you decided to watch my every move I was informed that my truck had been broken into while it was parked on the lot. I was robbed blind, that truck is my real home, was full of my personal possessions as well as every tool and electrical device you can think of for a job such as mine, muliple thousands of dollars. My Birth certificate and SS card, even my shoes. So that is what lead to our unspoken encounter. Maybe now my state of mind and lack of pride in appearance might make a little more...
Read moreI am so mad right now. I went to the Belk store in Toccoa, GA and was lied to. The girl said I could save 20% that day if I opted to get a new Belk rewards card. I specifically asked if they would have to check my credit, (I'm working to get a construction loan to build a house and was told not to apply for any credit cards), she said "oh no, they won't check your credit cuz you already have a Belks Reward card, this card will just replace it." And no mention that it is a mastercard credit card. I just learned today through my credit monitoring service that Belks has done a credit check with 2 of the reporting agencies so far. I guess the sales people get a bonus for every card they hock, so they lie. Well, they won't get me again, as I just canceled both the old...
Read moreOne star was for the only person one the floor that helped us try to find something for my daughter. Nobody was in the shoe dept. I asked one of the six employees at the make up counters talking with each other for help. She walked over to the shoes and asked a customer to help us. Should give a star for a random person that doesn't work there for her help with the shoes! When my daughter was in the nasty changing rooms, she was so scared of the nasty vents cause black fuzz was dripping down from them. Sorry best pic...
