As of today, July 25 2024 I am no longer going to come here. I used to be a frequent customer here and the food was decent, I never had any complaints. Maybe the food made me feel a little off but it wasn't anything to bat and eye to. Things seemed really good and service was pretty well off with even making acquaintances with one of the employees. However, over time I've come to be disappointed in how they operate. I should have seen the signs before ever coming back here today but I was willing to give them one last chance before I called it quits. It started when I first got a plate of food I didn't ask for, rather something that was similar to what I ordered, but definitely not what I wanted. It was fixed but only after it took them a couple of tries to get it right. I would even take my friends here, then the same things would happen to them as well. Things got really fishy when I went to the desk to pay for my meal in both cash and card. I told them specifically to use the bill I had handed them along with my card. Little did I know, as I was about to walk away I noticed on my receipt they had paid the meal in full with my card, and kept the cash I had given them without putting it towards my bill. They weren't going to say a single thing, and let me walk out without my money. I asked them to give it back to me and they obliged. That really put me off to eating there. Now for the final time I was once again put in a frustrating situation. I had ordered my meal along with my boyfriend specifying what I had wanted. The person taking my order took the time to ask and specify what I wanted, to which I pointed at the menu to show them what I was looking for. We eventually get our food, (I had ordered an asia house sashimi plate along with a bento box) and to my surprise, the sashimi plate was a lot larger than I remembered. Nonetheless I, like a fool, ate what was given to me. I shouldn't have done that, because when I get the check for my meal I'm charged around $14 more than what I had ordered. It was actually a sashimi dinner which is around $31, what I had originally ordered was maybe $14-$16. Although angry and deeply disappointed I paid my bill and left. There have been many times now where I have put up with their poor service and I'm done. They used to do well and I never seemed to have any issues at all, until suddenly things started turning bad out of the blue. I cannot say who's fault it is specifically but regardless everyone working there represents the business itself. I do not recommend this place, not anymore. Take your money somewhere else that will learn from their past mistakes, unlike this place. Even if it's out of town I wouldn't ever give this place a...
Read moreI came in for a takeout order. Nothing was great. The host's were nice. But, when you walk in, apparently, the front counter is the Host stand, Takeout bar, and a Server Station. So, there's 6 hosts and servers standing at the front, off in their own worlds. I order a typical Chicken with Cashew nuts. It's been my go-to Chinese meal since childhood. I know a good Chick w/ Cash when I eat one. This was absolutely the worst I've ever experienced! Not only was the chicken of the poorest (foodcourt) quality, none of the traditional vegetables were included (baby corn, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots...) accept oversized Broccoli and snow peas and [of course] the cashews. Also, I ordered a traditional "Rainbow" Sushi Roll. Again, it was the worst I've ever experienced. The avocado goes Inside the roll, not the Outside! It falls apart and destroys the roll as you pick it up (unless you're a forker). They try to use the avocado on the outside of the roll (as a thinly sliced layer that candy stripes the roll with the sashimi tuna and salmon) to seem like its an artistic feature. But, it seems pretty obvious that the true intention is to save money on sashimi grade tuna and salmon (which was sliced so thin, it was simply a garnish) by layering half the outer roll with cheap, cut so thin its mushy, avocado. A proper Rainbow Roll should have [ALL] Shrimp, Tuna, and Salmon Sashimi on the outer layer.
I was visiting my sister in Taccoa when I made this mistake in dining choice. When I showed her my meal, she replied that this was a typical experience and that she would have warned me "not to go" if she knew I was going....
Read moreAsia House (Toccoa) is a true gem that combines mouthwatering cuisine with top-notch service. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and efficiency that sets the tone for a great dining experience. On my first visit, I tried the Bang Bang Shrimp Bento, and it was a flavor explosion—crispy, spicy, and perfectly balanced. My second visit featured the Shrimp and Garlic Bento (pictured), which was equally impressive. The shrimp were juicy and well-seasoned, paired with stir-fried vegetables and savory fried rice topped with a creamy seafood salad. The sushi is outstanding—especially the shrimp tempura and salmon rolls. Though the portions are a bit small, the quality more than makes up for it. The tempura shrimp had an exceptional fry—crispy, golden, and light. Asia House offers complementary sauces like Yum Yum, Duck, and soy sauce, which enhance every bite. You can also request no MSG, which is a thoughtful touch for those with dietary preferences. The spring and egg rolls are simple, mostly cabbage-filled, but they serve as a light contrast to the richer bento items. What truly elevates the experience is the amazing service. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and quick. The food arrived hot and fast, making the whole meal feel seamless and enjoyable. Asia House is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Asian cuisine served with care and speed. I’ll definitely...
