Big Shunga Park — Local services in Topeka

So, I’m sorry to have to leave this review, the park itself was very nice. But I’m a female runner, I was cat called by multiple guys during my 1 hour run, and there were some random guys just walking around very slowly on some secluded areas on the trails, I definitely didn’t feel safe. And, I’m pretty sure there was a couple ‘parking’ in the parking lot. So...

Awesome trail for walking, running, cycling, or just setting on a bench and enjoying nature. Very long trail which stretches throughout several miles of topeka. I feel safer on the stretch closer to gage than I do on the section that is closer to resers manufacturing plant. Never had a bad experience, just have seen lots of homeless people that way...

The trail is paved and runs about 8 miles in length. It follows a winding creek and borders several parks scattered through out Topeka. Lots of flora and fauna to observe along the trail. The trail is well kept and shared by joggers, walkers, and cyclists without any issues. There are plenty of benches, playground equipment, and water fountains...
