I went in there in a great mood with my beautiful daughter excited about furniture and thrilled with what I’d found and left in a huff because of how rude and disrespectful those people were.

Multiple floor people told me I had three days to remove the pieces I bought and the manager Jesse, an actual villain, said I had to have them out by 630 that day, that they pay $20 per day to have things there. I said I don’t have a baby sitter and I can’t have my daughter in the car without a car seat, I pleaded that I only needed one more day and this dude walks away to the back with another dude who works there who I guess is his girlfriend because they could be heard giggling like school girls from the back office while listening to Katy Perry.

Then the cashier Karina is crying about her mom being dead for 10 years and 11-7 is the anniversary and I said my mom has been dead 24 years, grief is something we all deal with instead of being friendly and understanding, compassionate and advocating, you refused to tell your manager that the floor guys said I had 3 days like I didn’t even exist or my part of the story didn’t matter, why am I going to be friendly and understanding towards you if you aren’t that way towards me. Now we are off on the wrong foot to the point where our shared experience doesn’t matter to either of us.

There was no signage anywhere that said clearance pieces had to be out same day. Nothing I signed at the register when I paid for it. No refunds, nada, no flexibility. There’s nothing charitable about this place. I was prepared to let it go when one of my friends said she’d go get it and brought it back.

I can’t tell you how glad I am that I didn’t have to deal with these folks again.

Also there was a hamper there a Target one you get for less than $20 filled with loose hangers that they charged someone else $25 dollars for. The person who bought it forgot it and I said well if they don’t come back for it, can I buy it and they said yeah for $25. It’s obvious they ā€œresellā€ things forfeited to drive up profits. What other reason is there to be that hard up?

Do they hire ex cons to be the managers too? Jesse had the grossest demeanor of any manager I’ve interacted with.

The best part of it all is that I was buying used children’s furniture for a toddler and it was the day after my birthday and seven days after her’s but guess what? You don’t see us...

Not as well-run as other locations I’ve been to. No rhyme or reason to the standards they use to decide if they’ll accept your furniture. E-mailed photos of nice mid-century modern furniture in decent condition with very small marks, and they only accepted a lamp. Was told my furniture couldn’t have any marks. Which would be reasonable, but today when I was at the store, couldn’t help but notice that numerous pieces of furniture on display had large and very noticeable stains, scratches, scuff marks, etc. Asked the clerk about it, she said the manager would be able to help me. When I asked him about it, he had an attitude, and kept saying, ā€œIt depends,ā€ with a smirk on his face. Not sure what his problem was. Also had to ask four different employees for a donation receipt, and they kept referring me to someone else. Attached are some of the scratched pieces for sale out on the floor. The pieces I had wanted to donate were in MUCH better condition than these. For context, the location in Anaheim on Euclid Ave. gladly accepted all of my...

This place habitat prices are ridiculously more expensive than home depot. I bought some tile that looks like hard wood flooring. I visited Home Depot to purchase supplies to install tile in my home when i seen the same tile for a cheaper price at $26.00 per box. I purchased same tile at Habitat for $29.99 per box. Watch out for manager named Freeman that has very bad customer service ethics. I mentioned to him of the situation and he said to me "get out of here and don't come back to purchase our products". I never mentioned a refund or to pay back the difference. I just want him to be aware of his prices that were higher than home depot. As i was leaving he shouted get the hell out of here. One customer that was there listening to everything said to Freeman "I'll never shop here again your attitude towards customer's stinks". That customer was just explaining to you on your prices on your tile. He was very curious to you Freeman. I'll never shop there at Habitat again. Just be ware...

This is the first time for me to check this place out. Today there were lots of stuff from the Westin Hotel which is priced well. $10 for framed photo/art pieces. $15 for mirrors ( that were in the guest rooms). Some things were brand new, such as pillows and bedsheets, but there were a few old furniture pieces that were priced well! This place is a nice large facility with parking. If you are looking for older furniture pieces, the ReStore in Oxnard has more. This store seems to have more commercial things. There were lots of filing cabinets for $10 too! I know each time you come to places like this, it's a hit and miss and I am glad I checked it out. It's always fun to browse. The bathrooms were clean. Staff friendly. The store is well organized.
