Came here for the first time and anticipating being back very soon. The place is really good! It's really small and quite charming. Since it is small. Expect to potentially wait awhile for seating! But they were very fast in serving (probably took 5 mins).

The broth is rich and good flavors. The noodles have a good firmness and meld really well with the soup. That being said, I wish there was more than justI also had the karage and it was fresh and crispy. The salad is what the do actually serve in Japan: shredded lettuce, corn and dressing. Also, the staff was very quick and frie
That being said, there are rooms for improvement. There are stores that have broth that more rich and comes with more meat than just one slice. Their karage had good texture and flavor, but nothing robust, impactful, or memorable. The salad is fine, very standard.
The place is small so depending on your outlook, you can be annoyed that youre waiting so long to be served. Or, you can find it charming like I did.
Definitely a great place to stop by in, but not to totally go out of your way for.
Update: the Yamada Tonkatsu is where it's at! Rich flavors, meat packed, but easy on the stomach. They staked their name on this bowl and I have to applaud!
This is a very small ramen spot right off the freeway in Torrance. The ramen is incredibly tasty, and if there aren’t that many people in line, it’s a quick and easy spot to grab a meal. I highly recommend their tonkatsu ramen. They do have vegan ramen, and they also offer fresh garlic to press directly into your ramen. Lol.
Staff was incredible. Food...
Read moreWhy is this place so popular? I am blown up by the good reviews, because it was quite the opposite. I've been wanting to try this place for a while for the love of Ramen. I got Kakuni Shoyu Ramen. Taste was pretty good, but it didn't feel fresh or filling. Meat was chewy, didn't feel fresh either. My husband got vegan ramen. It was alright. He also asked for side of extra noodles that took very long to arrive. When it arrived it was undercooked. It ruined entire broth of course. Then instead of making a new bowl they took his dirty used bowl to boil the entire thing again. It came overcooked and extremely hotter compared to the original order. I also ordered tuna roll which never arrived so I had to remind them. It was the worst I've ever had. I took one bite and that was it. I told them I can't have it and had them take that off our bill. Tuna roll was stale, chewy, hard, and didn't taste good. Service was pretty bad too. We had to get up 10 times to ask for things we needed. They dont have high chair for babies, so that's another thing to keep in mind. We had to manage our little baby on a chair while trying to eat. Their bathroom is at the back which doesn't have access from the inside. You have to walk out and go all the way behind to access the bathroom. Parking is also limited if you arrive there in rush hour. Nothing was worthwhile here including food, quality, service, accessibility, etc. There are so many great ramen places around. We are never going back to this one. It was a waste of...
Read moreI hate having to write a negative review because I am a loyal foodie who's main focus is supporting small family eateries but nuh huh!
My daughter picked this place for the high reviews & didn't turn out so good. I will begin by saying that I called the restaurant and spoke to the gal waitress who gathered our food for pick up; so when I called to let restaurant know, "hey I think you need to let your cook know the Shiitake 🍄 🍄🍄 🍄🍄🍄 where way salty to the point they were uneatable" -she was not listening and was just trying to rush me off the phone. I spent$54.00 on 2 bowls of "Pork Belly Ramen" with extra veggies, extra Pork Belly, a side of Brussels Sprouts & Bacon -with a "I'm sorry but where's the bacon?"
Either they ran out of Shiitakes and used dried ones, you will need to soak the 🍄🍄🍄 in cold water overnight to rehydrate and return them into a soft and spongy state or they simmered these in soy sauce stock directly because it ruined our broth and we couldn't enjoy the ramen- at all.
My daughter's is due this month and was her Shoyu craving. Sorry to say will never buy here again. Rushing a customer in seconds with ok ok ok was very rude to...
