I know this is long, but please do read! There's a reason why this rating is low. So today was my mom's birthday. Everything went well until 4:00pm today...
We went to buy this spray paint at Micheal's in Torrance. We took it home finally opened it and it turns out that the cap, where the paint spits out, was broken!! We were planning to go back and return it, but are house is 30 minutes away from the store. Instead of going back, we decided to try it out first to see if we can still actually use it, but it turns out, we can't because every time we try to put back the cap on it would spray all over the place. So we finally decided to go back to exchange it.
As we went there, mom discovered that we only received $2.53 as our change, but it was suppose to be actually $11.53!! We were very disappointed, but it's also our fault for not checking properly so we didn't bother complaining about that. Anyways, we arrived at the store and I went straight towards the manager and asked for a refund. The manager was named Liz, which I think it's short for Elizabeth, and was very rude about the exchanging policy. She said that I already have used half of the spray paint of the can!! I told her that is not possible because I barely got the chance to actually use it! So I told her that this can could have not been filled up all the way AND that it was her fault for putting this kind of product in the store!!! I also older that we could have major eye infections if this spray paint got into our eyes, since the cap was broken! This is all her fault, she should be sorry about this, she should be ashamed! I got so upset that I even started yelling at her and my mom beside me literally started say all the Korean curse words at her face! After a minute of yelling at her face, she finally decided that she will try to fix it.
AFTER 2 HOURS!!!! She told me that the only thing that she can do was give %60 off of the second can we buy. I thought that was just TOTALLY UNFAIR!!! WE WASTED AN HOUR AND 30MIN JUST TO GET HERE AND ANOTHER 2 FREAKIN HOURS TO GET THIS RESPONSE?!?!? COME ON!!! THIS ISN'T RIGHT!! IF A CUSTOMER HAD THE PATIENCE TO WAIT THIS LONG, YOU GOT TO GIVE THEM A REFUND. WE EVEN TOLD THEM THAT ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES COULDN'T DO FREAKIN SIMPLE MATH THAT SHE COULDN'T GIVE THE RIGHT CHANGE! WE WASTED $10 BECAUSE OF THAT! ANYWAYS, THIS WILL BE MY LAST VISIT TO THIS PLACE BECAUSE WHEN IT DEALS WITH REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES, THE MANAGER HERE IS SOOOOOOO UNFAIR I DON'T THINK THAT'S...
Read moreJust left Micheals,,, bought a large order over $130.00,,,, was on register 9,,,, well first of all most of the items I wanted to purchase,,,, weren't scanning correctly,,, or should I say,,, more then 6 items didn't scan at the advertised price tag. Then I completed my transaction,,, got my change from the girl on register 9,,,,, headed out the door with my daughter,, headed to my truck,, mind you I was parked right in front of O'Reilly ' s auto parts,,,,, well as I was trying to open my door, ,, my daughter says watch out mom,,,,,, Everything was about to hit the pavement,,,,,, and I bought several breakables, too. You would think,,,, that the cashier girls would have common sense,,,,, " if they weren't properly trained ",,, to atleast wrap those items with some of their ad news paper,,,,, in paper bags,,,,, and seeing what your buying are breakables,,,, also they should make sure to double bag your items, to secure your purchase.
Last but not least,,,,,, to top it all with whip cream and a cherry on top,,, right! I make it home carefully carried the items in, since the bags were about to drop it all,,,, I placed the items on my bed,,,,, while looking through the bags,,, taking things out,,,, I suddenly noticed,,, hey wait a minute as I'm checking my change in my pockets,, asking my daughter,,,,,,,, is my eceipt in the bags??? As she's checking through the torn bags,,,,, and I'm emptying out my pockets,,,,,,, oh shoot,,, where's my receipt,,,, I knew I was missing something. Instead of thinking it might of fallen out from the torn bags,,, but no thinking back,,,,, I knew the girl didn't give me my receipt.
So I immediately called the store,,,, guess who answers the phone,,,, the cashier girl who rang up my transaction. I told her who I was, just had left,,, how much my order was,,,, She says oh yes I have it right here,,, I thought you were coming right back for it. Read moreThis year has taken its toll on so many things and for me, Michael's was no exception. I was so excited and couldn't wait to go to the wonderland that took you away from the daily headlines of 2020. When we stepped in, I felt so sad, as this was another example of what this year has stripped away. It was as if there was no budget for the spectacular craft artists of the past or for those whose passion was hung on display for all to enjoy.
When we walked into Michael's in the past, you were walking into a winter wonderland where every display was an inspiration. The true feeling of the holidays lite up and glistened with gorgeous wreaths, arrangements, center pieces and garland. It energizing home designers, artists and spurred the creative juices for all who entered.
Sadly, like so may things, it lives among the normal shopping experience for a few select items you find on the shelf. It is as if the child who couldn't wait for Christmas, became the adult who viewed it as simply a necessity. It has become an ordinary experience for what was once a fantasy land.
