Mexican Riviera Restaurant — Restaurant in Torrance

Horrible! Salsa tasted like it's from a can. Found a soggy chip in ours right off the bat, so that means it couldn't be from us, so they obviously recycle their salsa after people are done with theirs (gross!) We asked for a spicier salsa if available, which they brought out, but tasted like spiced up tomatoe paste. Chips were a lil stale, and tasteless. No salt or pepper on ANY table After looking at the very short and bland menu, we decided to try the carne asada fries, which we figured we'd try to get the freshest fries possible..so we requested extra crispy fries, and they were still soggy. We requested the guacamole, sour cream on the side, so that didn't affect the "crispy fries" but not one could be defined as crispy. The carne asada had no flavor and tasted old. Expecting food poisoning coming our way. I saw one guy walk in as we sat, he was asked if he was eating there, after looking around, he said "nevermind" and walked out..wish we would have done the same. Paint peeling off the walls, and booth seats were ripped with the cushion inside exposed. We left to quickly get some alcohol in hopes it will kill any bacteria or whatever else we were exposed to. Should have gone to Taco Bell. Avoid this place...

Placed an order through DoorDash with them. Unfortunately, delivery time was 30 minutes later than estimated. However, I'm still giving them 5 stars because the food was piping hot & delicious. They also gave an unexpected good size container of salsa with an entire bag of tostadas.

We ordered the two chicken tacos combo, two chicken enchiladas combo, ground beef nachos and carne asada plate. The tacos & carne asada plate were on par for a Mexican restaurant. The enchiladas were delightfully very cheesy. Each bite we lifted from the plate had a string of cheese dangling. The nachos were HUGE. It could have easily fed our family of 4 on its own. There was an even amount of each ingredient; which was nice because then we didn't have to dig around much to get everything in one bite. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was that the chips are placed at the bottom & I believe the cheese is melted on top of them. So there wasn't the crunch I was looking for in the chips. Went here to eat with my mom. First table we sat at was not wiped clean. Second table we moved to, same story. Restaurant wasn't busy at all 3 tables occupied. Asked waitress to wipe tables. Took her 5 minutes to come back with a sanitized towel. Ordered sodas got chips and salsa that went ok. Placed orders for our dinners I got tortilla chicken soup and carnitas street tacos. Mom ordered chicken taco chicken enchilada. My soup was served room temperature and my carnitas tacos meat was 2 different colors. Not hot either. Moms chicken enchilada was a cheese enchilada and when we asked for what we ordered the waitress had to go outside to find the cook. This was around 4 pm. I woke around 11pm with the worst stomach pain I've ever had in my life. Needless to say I had to deal with diarrhea all day at work today. I will never recommend this place to you or anyone else.
