World Market — Local services in Torrance

I placed an online order at World Market in Torrance, Ca thinking that it would be a better way to go , so that I can minimize the stress for everyone. World Market like other places offers this online orders / curbside pick , so I went ahead and used it. It’s an early day and I was feeling very happy about picking up my order. When I got to the world market I spoke with the cashier who couldn’t find my order, so she went ahead and called the manager named Jean. I would think she would have a nice attitude since it’s an early morning and they were not even busy. They have 3-4 customers walking around the whole store. When I spoke with Jean she already was unfriendly like I was a bother to her. She asked me I need to see your order number which I showed her. She said it takes about 24 hours for orders to be processed which makes no sense to me. If I only knew I could have just pick up the stuff and pay in the store. Jean looked very upset. I told her whatever is easy for them maybe I can help them with my order. She said no I’ll have someone do it. I told her thank you and she never responded and walked away like I did something to get her mad. She immediately went to her office she said she will print my order on her computer and she will be right back. We waited for atleast 15 minutes Jean the manager never came out to talk to me. Jean told her worker to just give me the stuff. The guy who processed my order was not friendly as well. I told him thank you for his help and he never responded. Well this will be my last time I will go to this place or world market. I think the higher up district managers should look into your workers and have them learn how to deliver great customer service which is lacking at this place. Thanks for this bad...

Cost Plus world market is a favorite of mine for many reasons. There is a fantastic mix 9f food items from all over the globe. Honestly this is great not only to cook some new things or to make up a fabulous gift basket. I like to drop gifts to people who are stuck inside or that drive by birthday party. Things are opening up more so that is nice. Masks are required to shop. They have done a great job here of keeping the place clean. Safe distancing is followed here and you will fell safe but still e joy your experience. The employees are all nice and friendly here. They have some interesting clothes from around the world for all you boho babes that love the eclectic vibe. They have accessories too. The pillows and home accents are amazing with everything from. Lamps to napkin rings. Some furniture items and fun gifts stuff too. I also love to look at the greeting cards and the candle selection. I found some great faux plants for a friend who is gone so much nothing g can live in her place. Order online and pick up or shop inside you will be...

It’s Dec 23. You’d never know it by how little Christmas stuff they had. Terrible! Ba humbug!!! Came all the way across town to pick up some German cookies and candies. And some Christmas cards. I don’t know what happened to Christmas at this store, it used to be the place to go!!! No stollen and wasn’t there a huge push previous years with panettone, Christmas pudding, liqueur cakes? What an overall disappointment!!! They had gift baskets of European style biscuits, mustard, sausage - but the gift baskets had no Christmas decorations at all. To be honest it looked like the week after Christmas when they get to the 80% off clearance prices. I should have taken a video. It’s shameful. You’d think it was Valentines Day tomorrow. They had a lot of those kind of items. And strangely enough I did not see ANY New Years Eve items - no push for sparkling wines/ Champagne. I noticed a lot of Valentines Day stuff in most other stores too - so disrespectful!!! Missed opportunity for sales. Aren’t most brick and mortars...
