Happy New Year! We started off our first meal of the year with a huge feast at Seafood Town in Torrance, CA! Everything was delicious! #torrance #lunch #chinesefood #food #foodie #southbay #southbayeats #blessings

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Chinese restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, The highlight of my meal was definitely the Beef Chow Fun, a delicious dish of flat rice noodles stir-fried with tender beef, crisp vegetables, and savory sauce. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was generous. I also had the pleasure of trying the Shrimp Fried Rice, which was packed with flavor and loaded with succulent shrimp. The rice was cooked to perfection, each grain distinct and fragrant. The addition of fresh vegetables added a delightful crunch to every bite. The tofu dish I ordered was a pleasant surprise. The tofu was silky-smooth, and the sauce infused it with a delectable blend of sweet and savory flavors. It was a vegetarian delight that left me craving for more. Overall, when it comes to satisfying your craving for Chinese cuisine, this place is perfect. The diverse menu offers a wide range of options, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Whether you’re looking for classic favorites or want to explore new flavors, this restaurant has it all. The portions are generous, ensuring you’ll leave with a full and happy stomach.

I’ve been going here since I was a baby and even though I’ve moved around a lot and currently live across the country, this spot is still my #1 Chinese restaurant. The food is amazing and no other restaurants have been up to par with Seafood Town. Every time I’m back home, I make time to go here and was so happy catch them when they started reopening dining in. You must get the house special lobster, it is pricey but incredibly delicious and the sauce…I can’t even explain. Goes great over rice or noodles and you’ll want more. Plus when you dine in, you get the full service: fresh pot of tea, pot of rice, hot and sour soup (yummy!), and warm tapioca pudding for dessert at the end. Interior may not look great but honestly, it brings out the charm of the place and I couldn’t care less as long as they continue to serve amazing food. I hope this place remains open for many more years to come! 28 years of my life and counting as a loyal customer here!

We went to Seafood Town. We were utterly disappointed in the food and the customer service that we received here. The food did not taste good. Most importantly, they put peanuts in my Kung Pao Fish Fillet when I asked them not to. The Fried Crispy Whole Fish was COLD when it came out. Also all the other food we ordered were bland.

Not only was the food not good but the customer service is also terrible in many ways. First, when we sat at the table, there was this man who rushed us. We were in the middle of speaking, then he walked away. He seemed that he is not fit for customer service. It also seems like this place is understaffed. One lady at the front desk has to do customer service and pack up orders at the same time? How terrible. When it was time to order take out, the lady forced us to pay the tip of 15% in the order, and the prices of the food on the menu was more expensive than that of Seafood Port. Then, what is the meaning of a tip anyways? That is ridiculous. Seafood Town did not give us any napkins, spoons nor forks for the take out order. Also, our take out order was not packed carefully, so the sauce spilled all over the bag. I am disappointed because of how careless these people are.

Finally, the place was dark, and not a lot of customers. After all what we have experienced, we will never be going back. I compare Seafood Town and Seafood Port because Seafood Town is the same owner as Seafood Port, but everything from food quality to customer service is more superior to here. Is it because of the staff here? Seafood Port will be...

Dirty, old and not good! The whole place is covered with old dust over spider webs, especially on the lights fixtures on the walls. The toilets are dirty and, probably, cleaned just once a day. The furniture is, at least 30 years old and falling apart – everything made of Formica that cannot hold together any longer. Very depressing. The place lacks an employee room, where they can store their jackets, blouses, etc. The change happens inside the dining room, where employees roll up their clothes in plastic bags and stuff them in a drawer. It happens that a place is ran down, but the food is good. That is not the case here. The food is just plainly tasteless. A bunch of ingredients put together with no heart, soul or science. We ordered a seafood fried rice ($13.00) which had 2 shrimp, lumps of cheap white fish (sole or tilapia) and IMITATION crab meat. Absolutely without any spices, salt or anything that give it a little life. The Chicken Shanghai Style ($10.00) looked more like a plate of water chestnuts and green pepper in a liquid gravy - very disappointing. Customer service is inexistent. We were greeted by a Chinese woman that asked “Are you three only” that sounded more “You are not welcome here”. The waiter and the servers acted like they were doing us a favor. No one pays a minimum of attention to you in any way. Don’t waste time, money and most important, avoid becoming frustrated. Go somewhere else to eat. Find...
