I started out with them at Children's Hospital almost 20 years ago. Since they've started calling themselves UBMD Neurology they have become more difficult to contact. My doctor recently retired and it has gotten much worse since. My pharmacy attempts to contact them to get a prescription refill and they never call back. I call and am unable to speak with anyone and their message says to use the portal or wait 24 hours for a call back. In my messages I always demand (because asking nicely doesn't work) that they call me back and they talk as though it is a major inconvenience to actually have to talk on the phone to someone. Yet again, I am waiting for a call back and crossing my fingers I don't run out of my medication in the meantime (my pharmacy has been trying to get in touch with them for a week at this point). My next call will be to have them send my records to a new neurologist so that I don't have to worry about running out of meds because they can't be bothered to talk on the phone or simply send a fax. Also, at my last visit they charged me $100 copay after the visit I contacted my insurance company to see if my copay increased and I missed it and it did not, they overcharged me $70. Strongly DO NOT recommend!!!
Update: 48 hours after I called to have the refill sent to my pharmacy they FINALLY sent it over. I have 4 days of medication left so I had to pay $15 to have shipping expedited (since I'm required to use a mail order pharmacy) however I still will not have the medication for at least 5 days. I am beyond furious especially because these people act like it is no big deal. Obviously the people who work at the NEUROLOGIST OFFICE have no idea of the effect of running out of anti epileptic medication! This place is a freaking joke!
Update 2: I ended up needing to get my medication from a local pharmacy so that I did not run out and was charged an additional $50!
Another Update: I am try to transfer to another Neurologist. I have left multiple messages with UBMD Neurology to have my records sent to the new doctor and have not received a return call and the new doctor's office has not received my records. If they continue to refuse to send my records my appointment will have to be postponed. They are incompetent and holding my...
Read moreI have given up on this group. Apparently, they pick and choose who they decide to see as a patient. My neurosurgeon at UBNS has been sending them referrals and notes about my symptoms since January, and my primary care doctor has also sent them a referral and medical notes. Every time I call them (when I actually get to speak with a person and not voice-mail), I get a different story as to why they have not scheduled me for an appointment. When I called in January, I was told that they received the referral, but not the surgeon's notes. So they were sent again in February and three more times in March by the P.A. at UBNS. I left four messages for them between March 15th and June 30th. Then I spoke with someone in scheduling last week, and they told me that they never received any referrals because their fax machine was broken. So my surgeon's office AND my primary care provider sent them again to the supposed new fax number. I called UB neuro again today, as I was instructed to do by the scheduling department, and left a very detailed message. They never called me back. I think that everyone who has had a similar experience should report them to the state department of education, and maybe if they get enough bad publicity, (or possibly even lose some state funding), then they just might start treating people with respect and kindness. When you have very unsettling symptoms and are scared, the last thing you need is a medical facility playing head games with you. Some of these prima-donna specialist doctors seem to have the attitude that you would be privileged to have them see you as a patient, but without the patients, they would not likely have a successful medical career. They all need to get off their high horse and realize that they are no more important than anyone else in this world. Arrogance should have no place...
Read moreI have written a review a couple times and they have been removed for obvious reasons they hate the truth. I wouldn’t trust my loved ones life with them. They only care about the paycheck .worst neurologists you’ll ever meet in ur life don’t care about keeping there appointment with patients. Dr Weinstock was the best doctor at UBMD and cared about his patients. Unlike other doctors in this place DR ping li and Glover shouldn’t really be allowed to be providers for people especially the epilepsy field. IF YOU CANT LISTEN TO UR PATIENT ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY WANT TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER PROVIDER YOU SHOULD LEGALLY BE HELD LIABLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PATIENT WITH SEZIURES HAVE HAD THERE APPOINTMENT CANCELED LAST MINUTE by the provider many times. Especially since we informed you his medical condition went worse and y’all couldn’t do anything about it. Once again the truth hurts and I would never let my siblings life in ur hands for yall to ruin his livelihood you have done the worst thing any medical doctor has done and I hope you treat your new patients good even tho nobody is staying with you guys. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. VERY VERY VERY RUDE . ESPECIALLY WRITING DOWN HOW I REACTED ON THE MEDICAL CHARTS ESPECIALLY WHEN MY BROTHER ALMOST DIED ON ME WHEN YOU GUYS DONT DO YOUR JOB RIGHT. But yea keep doing you pookie good luck with ur profession your going to need it especially since people hate the clinic. Once again DR WEINSTOCK NEEEDS TO BE THE NEW ADULT NEUROLOGY HE KNOWS WHAT HES DOING NOT YOU GUYS THO. If my review is removed it’s because of them they...
