Loooooove the food BUT they make prices up as they go. I come all the time. A small plate with one meat and rice is $5 usually. Lately I come every Sunday for oxtail and rice. They charge me 5 one Sunday next Sunday 6. Now today they tell me $7 at the food counter when I get to the register they said $8... I’m tired of them taking advantage of me because I can’t speak Spanish. Dudes walk in get their containers stuffed over flowing with rice and multiple meats and pay $6 or $7... I get ONE MEAT & rice & barely any meat they try giving me so I ask for a little more and they want to upcharge me for extra meat ? It’s a bodega relax yourselves. Supposed to be able to come in and get a big ass plate of food for cheap. I probably won’t be coming back. Like I said food is great but they literally argued with me about what I pay meanwhile I have the receipts at home to prove it because I usually pay with card. Not cool. Im sick as a dog today and was really looking forward to a nice tasty soup. I got the smallest size and they charged me $5. That’s one exspensive soup especially since I ordered the smallest size. So as I give her the 5 bucks I look at there menu to check prices and the women at checkout takes my attention off the menu and gives me a ticket and says “ here Mami for the next time you’ll get something free”. Got food poisoning. Met at least one other person who ended up in hospital from eating here.. employee said new owner throw s nothing out. If it's rotten meat he cooks in puts be it in red sauce and sells it. You can eat here a thousand the one time you get food poisoning you will wish you never walked in the door.
