Being of Polish descent I usually enjoy visiting Polish delis. However, this visit was not so enjoyable. The store is small and cramped. People reaching over you to get at things they want. No please, excuse me or thank yous heard. Seemed as though most of the patrons spoke Polish, I do not and I felt it. We were interested in purchasing some smoked kielbasa with the upcoming Easter holiday. The counter help was very unwelcoming especially when I spoke in English. We also purchased kabanosy and pierogi. I asked to buy a butter lamb (which is traditional for the holiday and on display in their case) it seemed like she didn’t want to sell it to me…as she hesitated and had to consult with another person...why I do not know. The products we purchased were ok except the kielbasa and kabanosy were way too smoky. My family has been having this type of food since I was a child and this was not enjoyable. The smoke tasted artificial. Unfortunately we won’t...
Read moreHighly recommend! Absolutely the finest of Polish food. It’s as good as my grandmother used to make. Sometimes at holidays there’s a line but I promise it’s worth the short wait. The staff is fantastic at getting your order together and the selection is beautiful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else . May I add I just noticed a review stating Americans were overlooked. Absolutely Not!! I don’t speak Polish and have been coming here for years and have always been treated respectfully and politely. This store smells like...
Read moreIf you're here locally and don't want to have anything to do with tourists, then this is just the place for you. Especially if you miss German or European cuisine and are looking for something that comes close to it. Of course, the Polish community is always a good place to go.

It really does serve everything from the usual cuisine as well as local Polish specialties. You immediately feel at home and can actually get everything there that the European heart misses.
When I'm in New York, it's always a store where I like to shop. See you next time.
