It's about $6 per movie ticket, which is a good price, and the chairs are nice, but they are cheap. That is not my gripe, when I go to the theaters, no matter the price, I expect a 10/10 experience for the cost unless there is a minor problem as bad popcorn or slightly dirty bathroom. I have not been here for years, and I do not ever plan on coming back again.
The bathrooms were filthy and smelled of urine. The toilets are stained, and the floor is stickey. The floors are very dirty. All decorations are dirty. Does not look as if they ever cleaned them with a mop, or carpets shampooed. The popcorn bag sizes are the smallest I have ever seen in a theater. They only carry Pepsi products, which is fine, but there are not many options. There are no easy refills machines like Timseltown. Only can get them at the checkout counter. The projectors and screens are the lowest quality I have ever seen. My friend and his wife bought a small projector for $150, and I think it looks better than Movies 10. And the white screen had stains on it, or might have been screen burn. Either way, I could see it throughout the movie. This is very distracting. The speakers rattle when a med-loud scene is playing. This is the most distracting. They, for some reason, have the volume louder than necessary. To the point where it just hurts my ears. Please understand that I go to Timseltown almost every month and have no problems. The screen is not near eye-level. This is not a huge issue, but I wonder how hard it would be to make a rising platform so you are always above the person you are in-front of.
Overall, if you want the worst movie experience money can buy, the go to Movies 10. As for me, I will drive the 15min, from Movies 10, to watch a movie at Timseltown where everything is better than this. FYI, Timseltown tickets are $10 per ticket usually if you sign up for the member thing. I usually just cancel after I sign up for the 1 ticket per month.
I enjoy watching movies at the theaters, but I will have to re-watch the movie I came to see due to all of the distractions and poor quality. I hope not to sound as if I am ranting, simply disappointed, I have wasted time...
Read moreThis place is absolutely disgusting compared to what it once was. When you walk in to where the ticket sales used to be there is no one working. I had no idea where to buy tickets from. Thankfully another customer had told us where to go. So we walk up to concessions where at least 5 people are working. We get our tickets and popcorn and go around the corner to where they now invade your privacy checking your bags. So we get into the theater and see the seats and think how great the seats look since they are the nice recliner seats. Then we start going down the aisle and half of the rows we couldn’t sit in because they were so dirty. Popcorn and other food all over the seats and floor. So we find a decently clean row and sit. Then we find that 3 out of 6 chairs don’t work for reclining for whatever reason. As we were walking out there was toilet paper on the floor way before the bathroom. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and in the beginning when we got there someone had complained about the bathroom and 2 hours later clearly no one did anything. There was legit a whole roll of toilet paper sitting on the nasty floor in the first stall. Like who would use that after it’s been on that grimy floor? Also as you exit they used to display posters for movies and it was all blank. Then as we exit to the old sales part there was a huge poster on the ground that one of us almost slipped on. Seriously what is happening in Henrietta? Half of your businesses are becoming so run down and nasty and it’s like people just don’t...
Read moreI can confidently say this is the worst movie theater I've ever been to. The cleanliness was not up to standard. And there were some major issues with the movie experience itself. First of all, they told me they were "sold out" of refillable popcorn tubs. Note, I went on a Saturday, mid day, MEMORIAL DAY weekend. There's literally no excuse to be running out of product. Fix that. Next, the movie times were all out of wack, creating confusion. Our movie was advertised to start at 4:15p. It did not start until about 20 minutes later. Finally stepping into the theater room was the next big problem, the cleanliness.
The condition of the theater was absolutely unforgivable. Trash everywhere, popcorn all over the floor and seats, drinks spilled, literally EVERY seat cup holder filled with trash, etc. Its incredibly difficult to enjoy a movie when your sitting in a trash-filled room.
The last major issue was the sound quality, and this really ruined it for me. The voices and talking in the film were way too quiet while the music and background noise were super loud. Almost like the sound output wasn't mixed well. I could not hear nor understand important dialogue at times.
Overall if your considering coming to this place to see a movie, just go to a nicer theater and spend the little bit of extra money if need be. If you're anything like me, and you only get around to seeing 1-2 films in the theater a year, you would not want your movie to be borderline...
