Adirondack Country Market — Local services in Town of Broadalbin

Used to consider this store a real gem. Not sure what happened in the last few years here but quality and selection has certainly went down and prices have gone up beyond reason. Just visited there today to pick up some items which looks like they may have discontinued but anyway I was back by the deli department walking over to meats and they had mentioned to me they have reuben sandwiches for lunch, I said sounds good I'll come back in a few minutes. I went back and he pulls out his pad and pen and says what can I get for you I said I'll take one of those reubens but no Russian dressing please . So a few minutes ago before I went back he told me about the lunch specials and that they had corned beef or pastrami he proceeds to tell me I can't have a reuben because what's there is there and they won't make one and I can't get it without Russian dressing. What the h### do you even call yourself a deli for then?? If I can't even get a simple sandwich...

This place is a gem! I’ve been trying to make it here for years, but the timing never lines up with my trip up to the lake. Finally had a chance last Sunday and needed lunch, so I grabbed a sub. The ladies there that day were friendly and hard at work. The subs are absolutely ridiculously large and PACKED with meat and toppings. The bread is amazing. It was hard to practice any self control and not eat the entire thing, but thankfully I saved some for when I got home a couple hours later (and it was still outstanding.) My partner was thoroughly impressed and she agreed we will make sure our travel plans include stopping here on our trips up. Next time, I’ll be picking up some meat and groceries too. Went today because I wanted to get a sandwich. I did check their webpage to see what time they were opened until because it's Sunday. The first thing I noticed was the 2 employees behind the deli counter (both frmales) were not wearing masks at ALL, none what so ever. Which made me feel iffy about ordering. So I said " I heard you make really good subs here." The reply I received was that they stop taking orders at 2:15. I looked at the time and it was 2:22. This is not stated on their website what so ever or I would have never gone out of my way. It was a 45 minute drive home. Will never return. Should make it clear on...
