I went about 2 weeks ago on Sunday October 16, with my mom, my 2 little cousins and my 2 friends, and we all loved it so much definitely a big improvement since Covid because I went back in 2020 and I didn’t go last year because of the vaccine mandate and I’m glad things are back to normal and better than ever definitely just as good as 2019 prior to Covid if not better and the staff was also very lovely we actually tried to go to the prior night Saturday the 15th and we got there we went through the metal detectors and everything and we were sitting in the midway and god food and stuff which by the way I highly recommend the food truck there is very good but unfortunately there was a miscommunication issue and we did not make it through the haunt that night because it was too late for us to enter and I told the manager about it and she was so sweet about it and completely understood my situation and she was very nice enough to offer me a free complementary alcoholic beverage the following night which was Sunday and it all worked out so well I was so happy that she did that for me God bless her very wonderful staff indeed but anyways back to the haunt it worked out perfectly they left the 6 of us go through there were a lot of good jump scares and they also followed us lol The swamp creature was definitely the scariest or the scarecrow outside and I also loved the chicken man he was definitely my favorite and we also caught him outside as we were leaving the haunt and he was so nice enough to take a picture with us it’s one of the photos I uploaded he was awesome and so funny too but it was definitely overall more fun than scary and we all loved it a lot and there was a lot of actors at least 40 overall no complaints accept a group of three girls joined us shortly after the outside portion of the haunt which I would say was the last 15 to 20 minutes of the haunt but we didn’t really mind they were very nice girls definitely recommend 100% bring your friends and family they will love it ❤️ They also did a spectacular job with all the theming and the animatronics I’m a big sucker for theming but again please go I promise you won’t regret it!!! I also definitely recommend coming on a Sunday night as opposed a Saturday it is a lot less crowded and it’s definitely more convenient and it is just as good meaning there’s just as much actors on a Sunday night as a Saturday night I will definitely be coming...
Read moreMe, my girlfriend and her sister were excited to go to the new haunted drive through experience. We’ve never done anything like this but it seemed like a good idea with everything going on. We were so excited to get scared and have a fun time. Upon entering into the queue of cars we went into the drive through very quickly. However I think it was pretty lackluster overall. I only got genuinely scared once at the very beginning. The cars were so packed together that you could easily see all the actors and there “scares” before they got to you. Also most of them were just standing there making weird noises and looking at you... not scary!
I feel like there was such a missed opportunity with the scenery to not put more actors behind trees or in bushes to jump out and scare you. Instead they just stand there. It was so not scary I can’t even say it enough I was just laughing the whole time and me and my party felt thoroughly disappointed as we were looking forward to it. Drove an hour each way from queens for this and it was a complete let down and felt like a waste of time. Just got home and going to put on a scary movie that will hopefully do a better job at...
Read moreMy fiancé and I visited the gateway on October 25 2023. We have visited various amounts of haunted houses ( as we are enthusiast for the entire spooky month of October) and made a roadtrip throughout the coast of the northeast area. This was by far one of the highest ranked and most preferred haunted experiences we’ve had the pleasure of seeing. From the ticketing experience, compared to other haunted houses, the lines were strategically planned out. They would give you a ticket with a number allowing you to roam freely and explore other activities while waiting for your turn instead of waiting in a long line with nothing to do. The haunted house itself had to have been at least 30-45 minutes of jumps and scares. The actors were spectacular and spaced out in a timely manner giving guests the perfect opportunity to each get scared. Even the smallest detail like a smell of the specific room we were in gave us an eerie feeling that something just was not right. From the creativity to the raw talent of these actors this would easily be ranked one of the best haunted houses we’ve had the pleasure of visiting during our...
