I really tried to give this business the benefit of the doubt, but my experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting. I brought my engagement ring in to have the main diamond reset (it had popped out due to a bent prong) and to have my engagement and wedding band soldered together. I was referred by people I know and expected professional care.
When the ring came back the first time, the entire top portion—where the main diamond sits—was completely bent. The owner apologized and said multiple people inspected it but somehow missed that damage. He promised to fix it at no charge and to put a rush on it.
It came back a few days later with a new head for the main diamond, which I wasn’t told would be necessary upfront. I picked it up when the owner wasn’t there, and immediately noticed the prongs were crooked, making the diamond sit visibly uneven. I also noticed that a diamond on the band had been soldered out and never replaced, and two other diamonds appeared to have been swapped with smaller ones that didn’t match. I questioned why a new head was needed, and the owner’s son casually told me, “Probably because it couldn’t be fixed,” which was confusing because it wasn’t bent when I originally brought it in.
When I contacted the owner, he completely dismissed my concerns, insisted there was “nothing wrong” with my ring, and told me I had brought it in bent—which was simply not true. He also said he had paid $300 out of pocket to fix it and was extremely rude and defensive. When my husband called to ask what could be done to make it right, the owner hung up on him after saying we should’ve just taken it to the original jeweler.
I returned with a friend who knows him and hoped to discuss it calmly. At first, he admitted the diamond was crooked, but I had to point out the missing diamond, the uneven replacements, and how the entire structure of the ring had been altered. He became defensive again, blamed me for being “rude to his son” (I wasn’t), and when I asked for a refund, he threw the cash at me across the counter. When I calmly asked why he was treating me this way—especially when I was holding my 15-month-old daughter and am pregnant—he shouted at me to “get out of his store.”
This was an incredibly stressful and upsetting experience for something that should have been handled with care, professionalism, and respect. I truly regret bringing my ring here and would not recommend this jeweler to anyone—especially for repairs involving sentimental or high-value pieces. The cost to fix this ring will be significantly more than we paid him to destroy it.
The first 2 pictures are of the ring before I brought it in (clearly not bent!) the 3rd is the second time I brought it in, and the last 5 are when I picked it up the final time. The last picture is just of how poorly the soldering looked just connecting...
Read moreI brought in a very inexpensive bracelet in hopes of finding one with the same idea. The owner and his employee convinced me not to spend money on an expensive one, rather trying to create something with what I had and a bracelet of theirs. We came up with an idea. I left and got a message that my bracelet was done. I came to pick it up and was told by the owner that they couldn’t do what we discussed, instead the bracelet was ordered where it broke. I never agreed to this solution and he wanted $25. I paid and left very upset. The cost was more than what the bracelet was worth!! I called the next day and Mike was very rude to me. Told me he gave me a deal. I said I could have bought a new bracelet and felt I should have been contacted to see if I wanted to go that route. He said to bring the bracelet in. He’d refund me and break the bracelet. He said why should I refund you and you get a fixed bracelet. I was dumb founded. How unprofessional was this? I did go back and he gave me my money. Never mentioned my bracelet as there were customers there. I’d never recommend this place to anyone. I’m so...
Read moreThe atmosphere in the room was very lively and charged, partly due to the huge selection of jewelry that was perfectly presented and prominently displayed all over the room. Glittering pieces reflected light everywhere, drawing the eye of whomever passed by. The staff working there were also very friendly and nice; they took the time to speak to me about the history and detail of some of the pieces, informing me of the materials used, the amount of work involved, and even a bit of cultural why in some of the designs. Having walked around for a while and pondering my decisions, I purchased a stunning bracelet for her. To my surprise, I was able to pick it up for a very low price, and the entire experience felt all the...
