Self proclaimed originators of the "Syracuse-style pizza" (although The Varsity on Marshall Street might dispute this), Twin Trees restaurants are a family owned local chain that has been operating in upstate New York for the last 60 years. Recently, we were delighted to see a new Twin Trees opening in our neighborhood (currently take-out only), and for our first purchase, we ordered a large sausage pizza and antipasto salad. We are happy to report that food from the new location is up to par with what we've experienced in the past at other locations. Although famous for pizza, they have a number of other items on the menu including appetizers, wings, calzones, sandwiches, dinner entrees, and desserts.

The quality at this location has been getting worse and worse, the center of my pizzas have been uncooked several times, missing toppings, a large (16in) being closer to 13in. They shrunk the sub sizes and charge the same price for them and since when does a pizza shop not have fries with hot subs or chicken tenders. Clearly they don't care about their customers since this is how they reach out on FB.

This review is for the wings only. These definitely are not classic Buffalo wings where after they come out of the fryer you toss em with wing sauce. The medium wings had no sauce to speak of and were just a bland fried wing 😖. If you want pizza and wings you’ll need to go elsewhere for that good combination.

Although I would like to give a review on the quality of pizza I got at Twin Trees Camillus, I cannot because of poor customer service. On Halloween day at 2:30 PM, I order pizza and wings from their on-line order system. I paid for the items and received a confirmatory email that the items would be ready at my desired pick-up time of 5:30 PM. At 5:40 PM, image my surprise when the Twin Trees employee told me that Twin Trees Camillus DOES NOT guarantee the confirmed pick-up time for on-line orders. I asked the same employee did they have an estimated time when I could get the items, the employee stated they did not know and could not promise anything. While this is my own experience, Twin Trees lobby was full of customers “surprised” to be informed of the news of no guarantee pick-up time. I would like to note that the Twin Trees employees were asking for payment from customers but could not give a time when the products would be available. This action of asking for payment without knowing when the product would be available demonstrated to me that the location had no concern with their customers...

Can't rate this any lower! Was coming to Syracuse on 4/15/2025, 7pm, and was craving a Twin Trees pizza. Called the Camillus shop while on 690 at Bear St. Was on hold until the past the fairgrounds when we hung up and tried again. Got put back on hold at the fairgrounds and they never picked up. We stayed on the phone until we pulled in the parking lot at Twin Trees. Guess what, no customers in the shop so we went in still on hold with our phone in our hand, still on hold, and said to the "young" cashier that we are still on hold. Sure enough the phone hold button was flashing on the phone and she then picked it up. When asked how long it would take for a plain pizza she said 30 minutes. There is no way it would take that long in todays pizza shops. She really didn't make any effort to help us. We went elsewhere to get pizza. Never again at the Camillus location! Good luck surviving with that kind of service. Went there because the Milton Ave location was closed on Tuesdays and we were already past the Avery...

Calzone was delicious and huge, although it doesn’t contain ricotta. The amount of sauce they give you is pitiful, but I would still order this again. Philly cheese steak was also good, it just needs American cheese to be substituted. Ordered the Utica greens chicken sandwich and it wasn’t even palatable. It tasted like plain, steamed spinach on a piece of flavorless chicken. Took one bite and threw it away. We also got the Mac and cheese as a side instead of fries. That was even worse than the chicken sandwich. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. My 6 year old who would eat Mac and cheese out of a toilet even said it was disgusting. That too went straight to the trash. Not sure why the food isn’t up to par. It was almost $50 for a large calzone, chicken philly sandwich, Utica greens chicken sandwich, and extra sauce to compensate for the pathetic amount they give you. Far too much money for what you get, especially when a majority of it landed itself...
