Not a review I'd like to make, I really love and respect used game stores. But I was really disappointed by my experience here... I called a few hours before I arrived about selling an Xbox S console and they told me to expect about 10% more than what GameStop's Pro cash trade-in offer online would be. I left for the store, which is an extra hour drive compared to my nearest Gamestop. When I got there, I was told they may not even buy it before even looking at it, but they checked something in the back and changed their mind. After that, they opened it and began checking it, quickly finding that it was all in really good condition. They offered me a trade that was even lower than Gamestop's Pro cash offer online, I had to double check afterwards that it hadn't changed in the last few hours, which it hasn't and is still valued at a better cash offer. This contradicted what I was told on the phone and the 10% extra trade value that sold me on coming here in the first place wasn't even considered. I didn't feel I had an oppurtunity to question the offer, it seemed set in stone as they told me what the total would be if all checked out, but later claimed we agreed upon it to a co-worker as though I was allowed to negotiate. I don't think this is right, especially if misinformation is being sent over the phone when it's different in person. I agreed to the trade mainly because I drove all the way out there and didn't want to walk away empty handed, but also because I'm deeply non-confrontational and have difficulty speaking up for myself or just in general. That's the main reason why I called ahead, I wanted to know how much it would sell for before I got there so I wouldn't have to ask in person. I genuinely feel ripped off and it's a bummer to say that I should've just gone to a GameStop instead... I truly appreciate what these stores do, but this was a very unfortunate situation that shouldn't have happened and could've easily been avoided with honest communication and fair...
Read more2 people in the store other than myself and about 6 employees most of them standing around. Neither of the other 2 customers were shopping, just chatting across the store about MTG from the play area. Stood around for about 15 min because I wanted to look at some cards in the case and just got completely ignored the entire time even though an employee was sorting cards right next to me. This isnt actually the first time either, but it will definitely be the last. They also use old pre used sleeves which honestly doesn't give the best impression, won't go again when better places are fairly close and actually pay attention to customers when they need some help. Imagine being a store and clearly not wanting to sell your product, have to wonder how they stay open. In the time you would have to stand around before they decide to even give you the time of day you could be down the road at a better shop and...
Read moreStore has an amazing selection unless you are looking for vita or GameCube games. Staff are always friendly. Prices are fair but price match with GameStop so if you don’t want to support GameStop but want a good deal this is the place to go. Huge selection of Magic cards but if you are looking for other TCG cards your selection will be very minimal. I’ve only had one bad experience but it was mostly my fault. I bought a GBA game in March and the owner said that if the battery was dead I could bring it back and he would repair it for free. But then the Pandemic hit and by the time they reopened I had lost track of the receipt. They charge $40 for battery repairs which seems like a lot for a battery repair which can be done in minutes.
Overall though this store has great staff, great selection (depending on what you’re looking for), and fair prices. I recommend stopping by if...
