I had the best customer service experience of my life in this store. It was the hottest week in recent memory and my work's AC shut down. We have a strict dress code at work and I need some linen pants, or something to help keep me cool. On a whim I called in and THANK GOD I did. An amazing guy named DC answered the phone and he knew exactly what I needed. He said stop in and he'd take care of me. I went right after work and DC showed me some awesome pants. Here is the best part. I loved the feel, but the pants were pretty loose in the legs. Less like dress pants more like lounging at home pants. I took them off and said thanks but no thanks. He asked me, "Would you try them one again so I could see?" I said sure, and anticipated he would give me the hard sell and tell me how good they looked. I put them on, showed him, and he totally agreed with me. THEN seeing how they fit, and knowing what my size was, he went to another corner of the store and found quite literally THE PERFECT PAIR OF PANTS EVER. I was so pleased, this new pair fit perfectly and was just as lite and breezy as the last pair. I bought a few pairs, added some great polo shirts, and have never been happier with a clothes purchase. During this time I had the pleasure of speaking with and getting some great advice and assistance from an equally wonderful man named John. He gave me fantastic style tips and we had a great conversation, then John rang me out while DC went to help the next lucky customer. These pants are a game changer for me, and I plan on buying more in the near future in the other available colors.
I want to thank DC and John from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could remember the names of the other 2 women there who were kind as well, but it was DC who saved my life during the hottest week of the year, and John who educated me on style and told me all about the history of the store and how if I ever needed help to just call or stop in. It felt like family. You've got a customer for life!

A girl asked my name twice and I told her Regina Shoen, she called me Stephanie twice and went to look for my order that had been delivered to the store. She returned and told me it wasnt there. I explained that I had recieved a phone call telling me it WAS there, and that if she looked for MY name I was sure she would find it. She got another clerk to go with her and they found it. I saw a North Face jacket for $160 that I wanted to purchase and I had a 20% coupon I was told I could not use on North Face products. I asked if they still gave military discounts and they told me none of their stores give military discounts, and as a matter of fact I get it at several other locations. I asked of they had gift boxes and they told me only for ties... Last year and the year before I was provided free gift boxes. When you spend hundreds of dollars at a store regularly, and you're willing to pay for larger sized gift boxes why wouldnt they carry them? But in the recent years I have gotten much larger and tend to buy online out of embarrassment. I have an event coming up in a couple days that business casual won't work for, so I tried DXL.
I was blown away by the customer service. The gentleman that helped me was Van, and from the beginning he was courteous and friendly. Even if I had never bought a suit, he would have made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process. Asked me some questions, measured me, and reviewed a few colors. He knew the brands so well he could tell me what I would wear in each brand and put together a suit that I am very happy with in a few moments.
