Unfortunately had a very bad experience with the service here. I will start by saying the tea and desserts were very good and the lunch food was decent. My issues was 100% with the service. Our waitress would not pay attention to our table the entire visit. We were the only table with only black people in our section of the restaurant and felt racially profiled/treated differently by the end of our visit. People around us got attentive service and comped items for delays in service while we waited and tried to get our server’s attention multiple times. We were a table of two and other tables of two that arrived 30-45 minutes after us but ordered similar amounts of food got their desserts and checks before we were even able to order dessert (neither table ordered desserts in advance, we know that is an option). There was a 45 minute wait between finishing our lunch and being able to get the waitresses attention to ask to order dessert and another 25 minute wait between finishing our dessert and getting her attention to ask for our check. The waitress would repeatedly come over to the section to do a visual sweep of who needed attention and would not look our way once, while giving service to every other table around us. At first we thought it was just busy, but it became obvious we were being treated differently than every other table around us. It was very strange and disappointing. (Please keep in mind we were being polite, arrived at the time of our reservation, were presentable, did not send anything back or ask for substitutions, were not being loud or obnoxious, and did try to get the waitresses attention every time she did a visual sweep of the section.)

A friend and I met up for an early dinner here at the end of last month and had a truly wonderful experience. The decor is like nothing else we have in this area. It is gorgeous with a touch of the whimsical; I can't wait to return for an afternoon tea! So much attention was paid to every detail. Even the washrooms are beautiful! Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. There was a very tiny mixup on my dessert at the end; she was very apologetic and quick to fix it. The drinks and food were excellent. We were there on a very hot summer day, and the Watermelon Mocktail was exactly what I needed. Both of us ordered salad and dessert, and we absolutely loved our selections. The creme brulee was my favorite of the dessert trio I ordered and my friend equally loved the mixed fruit cake (no pics of that one). I highly recommend stopping by to try this place out for yourself. I know i am looking forward to another visit.

Three of us women went to Prince Tea House for lunch. In a word, it was excellent. From beginning to end there were numerous menu selections from which to choose, especially tea selections, of course, and dessert selections, too. All of my selections were more than satisfactory. That said, the atmosphere was beautiful and very calming. Did you know that they actually have a tea bar (picture below) at which you can sit after a long, hard day and just relax sipping tea? You don't have to order food, just order tea at the bar, if you prefer. I will definitely be returning and soon. It's the kind of place you can even go alone and feel perfectly safe and comfortable. I wish them all the luck in the world.

My sister and I came here for a Sunday brunch. They opened at 10:30am and we got there at 10:40am. When we arrived there were about 4 other tables seated. We ordered our drinks shortly after we were sat. Both drinks were really delicious. My sister ordered a mocktail and I ordered an iced mango black tea. We then ordered our food after looking at the menu for a few more minutes. We were waiting for a very long time to receive our food, which we never did receive it. While we were waiting the restaurant got packed and we kept seeing other tables getting served their food even though we were sat and ordered 10-15 minutes before them. We asked our server when we can expect our food at 11:30am and the manager came back. She let us know that the restaurant was really busy and they are putting a rush order on our food. However, we mentioned to her that we have been seeing all of the tables around us (including a party of 6) get their food before us even though we arrived and ordered way before they showed up. Also, all we ordered for food was a salad and a turkey club sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. No cooking involved besides putting the fries in a deep fryer. When the manager talked to us we just told them to not worry about it and to take the food items off the bill because at that point we didn’t even want the food anymore. While she was getting the check, we did receive the sweet potato fries and got a box for them, wish we we didn’t bother getting a box for them because the small plate of the side of sweet potato fries were $9 and they were nothing special.

Side note: the prices on their menu were pricey. $13 for a turkey club and if you want a dessert after probably another $13.

I also noticed that drinks and food for the same table were being dropped at different times. Ideally all drinks for one table should be dropped at the same time, same goes with food. I saw a two top next to us (was also one of the tables who sat way after us and got their food before us) and the woman was eating her eggs Benedict a good 15 minutes before the man got his waffle. She was already done eating by the time he got his waffle.

Disappointed for our first time since my co-worker and friend both went before and I heard they had good experiences. The manager gave us a $10 gift card to use next time. My sister and I do want try eating here again but hoping we have a better experience next time. The manager and our server were friendly...
