UPDATE 01/29/2025: SO LAST FRIDAY WE WERE PROMISED A SECOND SET OF SHEETS TO MAKE UP FOR THE BED THAT HAS YET TO BE DELIVERED. THEY WERE PROMISED TO BE MAILED VIA EXPRESS DELIVERY. MY WIFE CHECKED TODAY AND ITS BEING DELIVERED VIA GROUND DELIVERY. SHE THINKS SLEEP NUMBER ISNT SENDING TWO SETS.
SO ON IT GOES WITH OUR YET TO BE RESOLVED BED FIASCO. SEE ORIGINAL POST BELOW. AND BUY FROM A MORE TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!
This place is SO whacked out!
On Jan 17, 2025 I put down $8,400 to purchase a Sleep Number bed. Delivery was scheduled for TIDAY, Jan 24th. We were told that Sleep Number would email us a ‘time window’ as to when delivery would occur TODAY. I was also told that we would be getting ‘window updates’ that would give me a more accurate window for TODAY’S delivery. I received the first window update a couple of days ago, and another yesterday that had the same window, which was TODAY between 9-Noon.
I had to schedule time off to be home to open the door and let the white glovers in and out. Four hours of my time at my salary is worth about $250.
I’m sitting home expecting Sleep Number to text my wife at any time and she would then give me the ‘window’ update….that I would have expected a day or two ago, based on what the salesman who took our order told us. Well, at about 10:30 my wife called me to say Sleepy Numbskills contacted her to say they just learned our $8,400 bed was not delivered to their warehouse because it was coming from a southern state and it snowed there. It did snow in some southern states, but - here’s the thing - how would the local store/warehouse not know about the delayed delivery before TODAY AT 10:30?! ESPECIALLY given they were supposed to give window updates the closer it got to delivery day?
My wife was told that the local Sleepy Numbbells don’t know what is coming until the morning of customer delivery. Which again raises the question, how can they narrow down the window if they don’t know what’s actually in their warehouse until the morning of delivery?! It also raised the question, can it really be true that the local store can’t get an email, text, guided pigeon, smoke signals, etc., before the day of delivery?!
I think the answer is that we’ve been lied to, one way or the other.
So, here’s the other shoe to drop - our NEW delivery date is February 5th —- which is twice as long as the the original delivery window, or 300% longer than we were promised when we put down $8,400 for a bag of air.
Also, we ordered sheets that were not in stock the day we paid $8,400 for our airbag, and told it would be delivered with the bed. But my wife was told today that the sheets were already shipped to our house, which it most assuredly did not. Again, two conflicting points of information from the same business.
Apparently, to ‘make up’ for the errors/lies/stupidity, they are throwing in a second set of sheets, worth about $200. That’s less than the value of my time, and I can buy the same sheets on Amazon for half that.
I walked into my office in a REALLY foul mood because of Sleepy Numbs. I am really thinking about going into the local store and just cancelling the order, and reporting them to BBB and State...

Spent several thousands of dollars on a nice mid-level memory foam mattress. The delivery folks dropped off my mattress, still covered in plastic, in my bedroom, did not set it up, and forgot the pump for the bed. Called customer support, and they sent me a new unit. New pump comes in the mail. Set my bed up, and the pump in the setup process will not connect to the wifi network provided. (I have 5 other devices connected to the 2.4 and 2.4 guest network) Call customer support, they try some troubleshooting steps, and attempt to send me a refurbished pump without my knowledge. Call customer support again, request a new pump. Customer support states they will call back with an approval for the new pump. Customer support never calls back. Call again asking for the new pump, they send the new pump. New pump comes, does not connect to the wifi network. Call customer support again, offer me a 200 dollar credit for my issues, and elevate my case to a specialist. They state I would receive a call back within the next few business days. It has been a week and a half since then. They will charge me if I try to refund and send the mattress back per our last conversation. I have now accepted the fact that I have been scammed out of thousands of dollars. The bed only adjusts off of a Bluetooth function via the app, and does none of the advertised features. I am a young guy, (in my 20’s,) and am well versed in networking. There is no reason this product shouldn’t be working as intended. Please understand that if you purchase something from this company, you might waste hours of your time on the phone with customer support, with no resolution for a bad product. I fully regret this purchase, and do not recommend supporting this company. Many of my family members have also purchased products, I will be notifying them of my experience. Read moreWe went in-store on 11/11/22 to purchase a bed. We were given a delivery date of 12/08/2022. As the day approached we were notified we would have the mattress delivered between 12;30-3;30pm. We moved our furniture, took off from work for the day, and stayed home. On 12/08 sleep number sent me a TEXT message at 2pm notifying me delivery was changed to 12/10.
I call the company to find out what happened and they couldn't tell me anything, only that the date has been changed. I am guaranteed they have it listed as an express/important delivery due to the first blunder.
It's now 12/10. We again clear our schedule, take off from work, move furniture and stay home. And again at 2pm I get a text that delivery is now rescheduled for 12/27/22.
I cancelled the order at that point. $10,000.00 and the company can't seem to actually deliver the product we pay for, and seem to think their customers are always at home doing nothing. Insanity.
The customer service has been horrendous.
