I am an alumni from this school and my two years spent were memorable and enjoyable. I am originally from NYC so going upstate for school was a drastic change in environment and people. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable in the change of environment. My advisor helped me choose my classes and helped me through personal and educational challenges I faced which helped me alot. The food does need some change but it was not the worst thing. I enjoyed dorm life at SUNY Delhi but recommend they install air conditioners as it tends to be warm in summer and spring time. I mostly enjoyed the classes, my professors were very knowledgable in their fields and were very helpful in making sure I understood every topic. The resources on campus are worth going to because they do help. I made many friends and connections through joining clubs and going to events. I was even President and co-founder of a two different clubs. Definitely recommend this school if you are looking to get a good education and experience dorm life away from the city. You won't regret it, I...
Read moreI recently graduated from their Distance Learning program and received my Bachelors of Business Administration. The program I was enrolled in has since been discontinued, but I found the education and knowledge I obtained very beneficial to my career. That being said, the college administrative staff proved to be somewhat incompetent, inattentive and often confusing when dealing with transcript issues, transfer credits and course requirements. Since enrolling in 2009, there have been some navigational improvements to their website and upgrades to Moodle. However, there is much room for improvement on the student services end. I worked full-time while attending, thus, was fortunate enough to be able to pay for my own education without having to go through the rabbit-hole of financial red tape for which many students must endure. I can't even imagine what it must be like for a new college student just starting out. My advice is to read everything carefully, ask questions even if you think they're stupid, put all of you communications in email and try to be as polite as...
Read moreSUNY Delhi is amazing. I went for 4 years and loved every moment of it. My professors for the most part were consistently respectful and supportive within my academic endeavors. The culture of student life and clubs is amazing, I was able to dive into so many different areas of campus life and get involved in many different spaces. Some highlights was my time spend with the college players, a remarkable theatre arts club that’s is very loving and inviting. Being able to be a founder of a now very successful organization being the Environmental Studies and Sustainability Club (ESSC). As well as my Professor and in many ways I consider a mentor Dr. Jack Tessier, he is phenomenal and not only created and over sees the Sustainability B.S program that I was the first ever graduate of. But also allows and encourages my to continue to be involved as an alumni and allows me to come and speak to upcoming graduates about a career in Environmental Education. All in all wouldn’t have done anything differently. Graduate of...
