The Spider's Web Comics & Collectibles — Local services in Town of East Fishkill

Passed by today coming from a neighborhood comic con. The store is very clean (which for a lot of comic shops is impressive on it's own) so absolutely credit for that.

It's a good sized shop but it seemed to only be new stuff. They had some sets in the back that went back a few years. There were also some small statues, pops, and action figures.

If you are looking for older books, aside from a small wall behind the counter (which was pretty modest), I would look elsewhere for those as there was not much here.

A strange thing to note is there were no adults to be seen but, there was a young boy behind the counter, maybe around middle school age. I will say he was very polite (as a teacher I appreciate that) however, having a child seemingly running a store on his own was unusual. All said and done, we were in the place for about twenty minutes and never saw an adult.

All in all a clean place, organized well, but, if the owner needed to run out, don't have a kid look after your store, that can be dangerous for more...

The owner offered to buy my manga collection. I brought in The first half and he offered to buy it for $200 but said to wait a couple days. two days later, I dropped off the second half and he asked if i could wait to receive the 200 for the first half and make an offer on everything altogether. Once he went through it he said give them a week which I did he then end up saying, give me a week about three more times. I end up waiting almost a month for something said would take less than a week. Towards the end of it, his employee said that he and the owner went through the collection and he had a dollar amount in mind But then when I went into the shop later that week and the owner told me that he never went through it. I just took all my stuff back and decided that I wasn’t gonna do business with the shop anymore. The owner’s word can’t be trusted.

I’ve been going here the past few Wednesdays to get new releases for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, which I collect as a hobby. My first time inside the staff was super welcoming and had no problem helping me around the store. On the phone as well they have been very pleasant and helpful when I’d checked to see if they had something in stock. The store is very well kept and has an awesome selection of comic books and figurines.
