New York Sports Club — Local services in Town of Eastchester

I've been an active member of NYSC for 5 years now. I visit various locations like Dobbs and Scarsdale. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience at the Scarsdale location. The manager on duty, Knox, has exhibited very rude and unprofessional behavior. I have seen before my eyes him grab a mans belongings in a spin class, and move his chair to another one for no apparent reason. For myself, I was adjusting my spin chair and Knox childishly throws a tantrum, picking up MY belongings and ESCORTING me out the building telling me to NEVER return. I was HUMILIATED and EMBARRASSED in front of everyone. I am a dark toned middle eastern women, who had no idea why this was happening. I tried to email the corporation and they SIDED with them. SO please do not say to email you guys because YOU DID NOTHING TO HELP ME. I have disputed my charges and demanded an apology. This was by far the most humiliating thing to happen to me in front of the entire gym, solely for ADJUSTING my seat. As i write this, I still can not understand what I did to upset Knox, but it is clear he is UNSTABLE. Many employees have complained about his behavior and INAPPROPRIATE language. I STILL demand an apology in front of the people he humiliated me in front of, and for his termination. This was an unethical, inappropriate display of how not to treat a paying member who has been loyal for about 5 years. I will NEVER give them my money again. If NYSC wants to make it up to me, they will have Knox email me to come in an apologize. Other than that, I am not going to stop until something is done. It’s convenient to where I live but compared to other NEw York sports clubs it’s really disappointing. There is no consistency in the machines. The showers in the men’s room are disgusting. Four shower stalls in the men’s locker room. 1 shower puts out scalding hot water (when it’s in order), another shower puts out cold water, one has little pressure and lukewarm water, I don’t know what the handicap shower does (I don’t use it out of respect for the elderly members and disabled). The steam room has trash and I am certain is never clean. I do not trust the complimentary shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers. There was blood on the floor in the locker room, and a bloody towel on the shelf. I called the front desk and they came in to clean it, but did not do it with a blood pathogen clean up. So basically the mop used on the floors is probably contaminated. The staff is loud and obnoxious, I can hear them jeering through noise canceling headphones. very disorganized, employees and management lie about membership cost, and have hidden fees, their contracts are built for you the consumer to never get out of, and if you do your gunna have to pay more then what you think. They just send you the contract they don't even explain in the contract the specifics of their fees hence why they are "hidden fees" certain wording is used to mislead the custom into believing they understand what they are reading. They start off friendly and inviting , but once your ready to leave or you figure out how their pyramid scheme works for abusing the customer , they get aggressive. I constantly hear workers at the front desk complaining about working conditions and being unhappy in their work environment and being understaffed. stay away, nysc are thieves and once you sign that contract that's it they have got you.
