We went there to have a birthday dinner for two and it was early. This wasn’t my choice but my husband likes Haiku. After we sat down, it became a rushing event. We weren’t done looking at the menu, the server came to ask us about our choices. We told her we needed time and ordered our drinks and apps to buy some time. She gave us some but kept returning in a short time requesting our dinner choices again which was annoying. I felt we were being rushed like it was a take out place. We were trying to have a conversation about our day and again being rushed . We ordered the wanton soup and salmon salad for starters, sushi black rice roll, the spicy salmon Roll and the eggplant with brown rice ( no meats) After we ate, our plates cleared, the server came over with desert. We ordered the Godiva cheesecake with a candle ( tasted more like a mousse) and it was tasty. After coming home an hour or so later, I started itching and had hives followed by diarrhea. That was the last straw for me. Pretty bad experience and will stay away. On the other hand,my husband had no symptoms. This is the second sushi place I ate with a...
Read moreI ordered two sesame chicken lunch specials. My office is in walking distance to the establishment. the specials I ordered come with white rice and soup or salad. I asked for 2 specials with 2 white rices and a salad and a soup. when receiving my food I only had $1.50 extra on me to give to the delivery man. mind you, I CAN WALK THERE AND BACK TO MY OFFICE WITHIN 10MIN (Less then a half a mile away) when the delivery man saw I only left him $1.50 he was rude and responded with "that's it? only $1.50". As a delivery person you should NEVER question the amount of money a person gives you, that is just RUDE! also I open my bag & they forgot to give me the second rice. I called back for them to bring me the rice and they said they did want to delivery it and they asked me if they could give me a credit for next time. THERE WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN & I URGE EVERYONE TO DO...
Read moreIt used to be a 3.5 star in quality but has dropped to a 2.5 to 3. Quality of fish is fine - not bad though not memorable either. The rice is a bit cold - good sushi chefs focus on at least room temperature and ideally warm rice to enhance the fish flavor. Not this place. Here it is better than cold rice- it is not like grocery store sushi out of a fridge… but it’s still cold as of made two hours ago. There is hot food too - mostly fried stuff which I didn’t try. On the positives - The place is clean and service is prompt. Wine selection by glass is just limited with bad/cheap wine. I wish they had a few better choices even if more expensive rather than airline quality. Beer and sake choices are better but also limited in variety. Overall I would rather drive longer but go to a better place even if a bit more expensive. (Or don’t eat sushi but a cheaper cuisine at a...
