Totally disappointing now. If youâve visited here years ago, youâll remember the musty furniture room, and the fans blowing tobacco fumes around the building. Those were the good days of this place.
Now, their prices do not match anything âcompetitiveâ, WHO ARE THEY COMPETING WITH. Theyâre the only thrift store in the area now! Remember: they get their inventory for FREE, delivered TO THEM. The building itself is in horrible shape, wires on the wall behind the register, literal trash on the shelves and racksâŠall for the price of $4.99 and up. Donât even get me started on the red (permanent price) section with brand new items from Walmart frown the road, with their SA price at $1 under the tag price. Yes, there are costs to have employees sort and price the items. There absolutely should be a cost associated by that. But unless youâre paying your employees an abundant salary, these tag prices do NOT line up. If you are paying an abundant salary way above minimum wage though, please brag about that! That is something to support and I will update my review.
Want some examples of their pricing being crazy? 16.99 for a used vintage dress. $16.99 for a used, pilling jogging set. $29.99 for a used no-name duffle bag which was locked in a glass case (???).
Their clothing prices now are actively on par with the TJ Maxx down the road. Is that their competitor? It sure shouldnât be.
The amount of stained, torn, and ripped clothing and shoes was astounding. I visited to waste time, and I sure did just that. The shoe section was particularly disgusting as well. People donate things they shouldnât, but this store is also still putting those things on the shelves (looking at you, mud and odor encased soccer cleats and Uggs shredded by something).
They get one star for still having their tag/color sales, which are nice if you can find any of those tags. They do get a point for keeping that around.
That being said, honestly do not shop here if you do not have to. They have priced themselves even above the Goodwill in Warren, PA. If you are in need of cheap goods, go to Saint Lukeâs, Paws and Shop, or literally any thrift store that claims to help others. This particular location is not worth the steep costs they claim...
Read moreTerrible, rude, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I shopped here for years and years and loved the employees and experience! I moved away but revist the area frequently and stop by sometimes and let me say, things have changed in the worst way! The manager is the most misserable, nasty, mean woman I have ever delt with. She doesn't even do anything during store hours except sit in the back and price items like they're being sold brand new in a high end store, probably pawing through them, taking what she wants. The employees all seem like they don't want to be there, probably because of her. Then if you go in there after 5 pm she will remind you that they close at 7 every five minutes by screaming it at you across the store. Then they lock the fitting rooms at 6:15, no exceptions. She locks the front door at 6:40 so if you go to leave, they have to let you out. I once asked her if she can let my boyfriend in because he had my wallet and I was going to cash out, and she looked at me like I asked her to slaughter puppies, she said nothing to me, and marched to the door houghing and puffing. My mother-in-law has had many similar experiences with this bitter, mean woman, as well! If you dislike this business and this community so much, maybe don't work here?? I get rules and policies, but you treat your patrons like garbage and act like we're inconveniencing you when we come in. It was so much better when people were nice and friendly and made you...

Staff militantly and rudely demands customers leave store by 6:50pm, despite having posted hours showing they remain open until 7:00pm. Staff stands at door refusing to allow customers into the store, as early as 6:40pm. This is so that the employees have enough time to cash out their personal sales prior to their registers closing out for the day at 7:00pm. Will be filing an official complaint with The Salvation Army. Tired of being treated like garbage and like a trespasser, when I am spending money in their store.
The staff at this particular store continues to be rude and impersonable with customers. Never a thank you, smile, or other polite interaction with customers. They consistently turn the lights off in the store 5-10 minutes before their posted closing time. Most of the staff is unpleasant...
