If I could give this place a cold 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. This place is honestly completely run down compared to how it was in the past. Don't waste your time coming to such a nasty and dirty environment, not to mention Hawaiian holiday deletes negative reviews to make themselves look better. Me and my friends go in there every now and again and even my friend had a horrible experience, wrote a review, and they delete it. There beds are disgusting, mostly because they are NOT fully cleaned after a previous customer, with sweat marks and other people fluids visibly left on the bed, washcloth's are stained and sometimes wet, i even did see a couple ants in the corner last time and decided not to say anything for the time being (disgusting/ never going back) Not to mention the new “manager” Kate is completely unprofessional and acts like a complete and utter child and is completely self centered, she is not willing to help if you are confused and is only interested in making fun of you and trying to make you feel like the only odd one out. She continuously speaks horridly about her superior almost daily due to the simplest things and drags the customers into it, she even tried crap talking previous employees to me in snarky little comments but in reality shes just making EVERYBODY uncomfortable and she looks dumb because shes the problem. Overall, Don't waste your money or time on this trashy establishment as the newer 5 star reviews are fake and done by the employees friend's. I even overhear conversations with Kate and other customers about how they had wrote a review to make her look good....
Read morePer your response* That is ABSOLUTELY NOT what she said. I would never have bought the package if that were true. When I went back, she even said, no you don't have to use the days consecutively. so when would they expire if that were true?? You were not there. You/she can lie all you like. I am not a liar. I know what was discussed.
RIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF! IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING THIS VERY DECEPTIVE TANNING STORE, I'D CAUTION YOU TO RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE. I paid $140 for 30 days of tanning. I specifiacally asked if the 30 days runs out or wether it's 30 days, working around my shcdule. I knew I would not be ale to use the full 30 in 30 days......the witless girl behind the counter assured me that I could come back until the 30 days run. I was able to use 4, then I was not able to return until about 6 weeks later. But, she had ASSURED me I could do that. When I went back, she acted like she never saw me, and asked how I wanted to pay???!! I used to work in Consumer Protection. I know how to ask questions, There is NO WAY I would have spent the money on the 4 tans I received, without full knowledge I could use the full 30 at another time......THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER RIP OFF. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB (although I'm sure they do not care, they will continue to rip...
Read moreThis tanning salon is awesome! Shelly is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about tanning. She's very upbeat and always has a smile on her face. I was shocked that someone left a bad review about not being able to tan while carrying a baby? And then leaving rude comments about employees. Sounds like she's bitter and going WAY overboard on her "complaint." I was curious if someone could tan while pregnant...here's what I found:
It is generally not recommended to tan while pregnant.
If she has doctor approval.....I'd find another doctor!!!!
Reasons to Avoid Tanning While Pregnant:
Increased risk of skin cancer:
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun and tanning beds can increase the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma, in both pregnant and non-pregnant women.
Harm to the fetus:
UV radiation can penetrate the placenta and potentially harm the developing fetus.
Overheating:
Pregnant women are more susceptible to overheating, which can lead to complications such as premature labor or miscarriage.
Hormonal changes:
Pregnancy causes hormonal changes that can make the skin more sensitive to...
