I unfortunately do not know how to respond personally, but hereās the gist:
I sincerely regret that there was ever an impression that I was disrespecting anyoneās time or business. I will publicly say that to the entire internet for you, sir.
If there were ever fees that would have been appropriately applied to my bill, I would have not once contested that.
ā¢ā¢ specifically if (in this case) I was charged a fee for being late yesterday, I would have paid it - I understand that I was late that is not a contested fact.
I am not arguing about fees for service or quality of work.
I am telling you that you were cruel to me and itās not okay, and your customers deserve you to do better.
ā¢ā¢ hereās the human indecency:
When I walked in, I immediately acknowledged my being late, I insisted we only do HALF my appointment because I felt so bad.
However, you insisted I stay for both treatments.
(but you already knew you were banning me?)
Then you serviced both my nails + feet.
(but you already knew you were banning me?)
ā¦then walked me outside to humiliate me + tell me I canāt come back?
[someone HAS to be laughing reading this right now - but holy HELL this was so HURTFUL!]
Do you hear this, sir :: how that was incredibly hurtful? Humiliating? Degrading? Dehumanizing?
The policies for late fees + cancellations arenāt just imposed for your profit + loss:
A good business model understands itās built to ensure safe practices with your customers so as your services do not create harm in a community.
I do not expect that I would ever disrespect your work and not pay for its value.
I understand how the world works + I assure you I can pay for any fee structure your business imposes.
Unfortunately I cannot justify being treated the way that I was after an (apparent) history of which there are a series of fees that were never charged or communicated, until you chose to humiliate me as a result ā the week of Christmas!
(Felt so good, so jolly)
You were out-right-cruel to me and you donāt get to dismiss it ⢠you get to own it.
The lesson here is the lack of kindness on your behalf yesterday + your priority to earn money (which you said do my face) instead of actually being strong + kind small business owners.
ā¢ā¢ your arrogance + greed is blatant
ā¢ā¢ itās not a warm look for a small business, and people get to learn here on reviews what other people think about their experience.
Maybe impose those fees next time + stop taking customers money + then hitting them on the door on the way out. It hurt.
ā- Post from 12/16
I was late to an appointment 2 weeks ago, called to let them know I had a funeral and was running late. I was late again today, because of therapy, and called an hour before my appointment to change it. Then I called again to confirm I can still come. When I arrived I said I understand I am late and cannot get full service, and they insisted I stay.
After I spent $125 on my appointment ($100 +$25 tip) + owner followed me outside to my car and told me he liked money too much and did not care about me so I was no longer allowed to come there.
He said to my face that most of his customers tip $25 so, my generosity did not matter and my money wasn't needed.
This is a wonderful description of how culturally you can spend over $2,000 in one year at a salon, and they remove you when you're honest, transparent, respectful + basically just a human doing their best.
My ethics + values are why I am posting this: future patrons do as you wish.
The manager is out here for himself and was blatantly honest about it. This is not the kind of small business I want to support and I will share that publicly here as others may feel the need to spend their money where it's valued + respected.
Perhaps there is something to learn here good sir *when greed + gluttony come over customer service, the tide will roll back in for you.
I'll be sure I never recommend Queen House + I will make sure to share how humiliating of an experience it was to spend $125 and then be told my money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my go-to nail salon. Theyāre very clean, the prices are reasonable, and the customer service is great. The only thing Iāve noticed is that for gel manicures, they tend to apply coats for darker colors very thinly, so the final color is a few shades lighter than the sample and chips easily. They lasted only a few days before chippingānot good for a gel manicureāand didnāt match the sample I had chosen.
I think it might stem from personal preference on the nail techās part. The first time it happened, I had picked out a deep burgundy, and it came out a bright berry red instead. The woman doing my nails said she was worried the color would come out dark based on the sample, but she thought the final color was actually very nice once she was done. She had applied 2 thin coats. I disliked the color because it wasnāt what I had chosen, and it was clear she had done the coats thinly so they wouldnāt be too dark. I tried again recently with an even darker red (so dark that it was almost brown) and it still came out lighter than what I had asked for. I realized afterwards I should have asked for a third coat.
If youāre getting a gel manicure and have chosen a darker color, check the color at 2 coats and donāt be afraid to ask...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was only my second time here and my experience the first time was WAYYYYY better than my second. The first time the staff was very very friendly, they were taking their time on my manicure, very communicative with me. I felt appreciated and like they wanted to make my experience a good one. I felt there feeling great and excited to go back. Second time, the gentleman who did my manicure and pedicure was a little rude and I felt unappreciated, like I was wasting his time. My pedicure felt extremely rushed, which made it not enjoyable and my ANC manicure started chipping after 5 days. He also cut my finger when cutting my cuticles. ANC manicure is $40!!!! WAYYYY over priced. There are other places in the Capital Region that have ANC manicures for $30 (I got ANC for that price at a different salon last month). Make sure you make an appointment as they are appointment only. I may give this place one more chance. I do see the owner replied to a previous review stating they inform their customers of their pricing before they start their service which is NOT true. If I had known ANC was $40 I would have chosen a different...
