Hair on the Avenue — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Had to come here 3 times. First time, I looked 50 years older. Second time, my hair came own with red/brown copper hues. Third time, I left looking like an orangatan/ ginger spice wanna be from 1999. Rose is a nice person - but it shouldn’t have taken 4 tries to give me what I asked for.

When I suggested perhaps a swatch kit to help communicate better - the idea was initially dismissed. I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror for 5 days - worst experience ever.

When I asked for a partial refund and how I did not feel comfortable letting her touch my hair a 4th time. She ignored me.

I patiently waited to grow out my hair, had a consultation with her months before and diligently planned out this new look I was so excited for - she said she could give me the look I wanted, So I felt confident in my research and decision to go forward with her.

She talks about “your hair is the icing of your cake” but every time I left her salon letting her fix my hair - I felt violated and helpless spending $300+ to look like a spice girl in the end.

Again, “nice” lady. Just never apologized or owned up to making me feel disgusting, not giving me remotely what I asked for.

I ended up going to a more advanced and up to date place that fixed my hair...

this salon is the most anprofesional they cheat the customer who pay a lot of money making believe that they getting the best product meanwhile the owner rose put the cheap shampoo in the keratin shampoo botle this place is higly anprofesional an small as a peanut and towels are no wash well and have an odor to them on and all i would advise you to stay away
