I used to like this store, but the lines move so slow because they shut down the self checkout and only have a few cashiers working. But what happened the other day really changed my mind.
I bought a 6 pack of beer and the cost was $10.07. I was in a rush and this was sorta my own fault but what happened next changed my opinion for the worst.
I paid with a $5 bill, a $2 bill, 3 $1 bills and 5 quarters. You’ll notice that’s 11.25. I joked with the cashier and said she should take 2 $1 bills from her pocket and keep the $2. She said meh she has enough. But then she stared at the money I gave her and looked at me and I thought oh wait did I not give her enough. Then she says ok and hands me the the less than 20 cents I would have gotten if I paid 10.25. I walked out of the store, and right as I exited I realized I goofed and overpaid, and she realized it, but just kept my dollar. Going back for a dollar isn’t really worth it, and neither is sacrificing your honesty. Someone should tell her that. Now I just avoid her when she is working a register because I know she is dishonest if I can’t avoid this place completely. Just be wary, some of their employees may steal a buck from you if they can.
Edit: I just walked out of this place because you can’t actually buy anything. All 3 cashiers were having issues. HIRE CASHIERS! HIRE CASHIERS! One more time. HIRE CASHIERS! Or at the very least open up your...
Read moreTHIS UPDATED REVIEW IS ABOUT THIS KEYFOOD'S DELI.
Four years ago I gave this store a five star rating after they remodeled the deli, my comment was: "Very nice store". That truth has died.
NOW, when you buy cold cuts from this Keyfoods deli you receive poor service (not all of their deli workers give you poor service, just most of them), when this Keyfoods deli workers cut meat or cheese, they LAZILY put the product on the receiving paper resulting in having small specks of other meats on it (I have never witnessed them cleaning off the cutting surface) and they layer the cheese so poorly that when you open the package of cheese you wind up with cheese flakes and unable to peel off a slice without it breaking up into unmanageable pieces.
Most deli workers in OTHER STORES place your ordered product on the receiving paper by LAYERING THE PRODUCT, NOT JUST SLAPPING IT ON THE PAPER ANY KIND OF WAY AND CARELESSLY, making it easier to use, THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MANY MONTHS, AND TO THIS DATE NOTHING HAS CHANGED...UNACCEPTABLE! WHAT ARE MANAGERS FOR??? GREAT WAY TO LOSE CUSTOMERS....
Read moreI work across the street so I shop at this location frequently. The other day I purchased more than usual ($120 worth of groceries). While doing the self checkout I had very little space to put the groceries after I scanned them resulting in a huge messy pile of all the items. I usually have a bag or two with me as I know they charge $0.10 per bag but on this occasion I didn't. There were no bags anywhere in sight so I had to put the groceries back into my cart. After I paid I asked the clerk that was supervising the self checkout station where the bags were located and she asked how many I needed to which I replied just a couple (I needed more than just a couple but I assumed she would give them to me at no charge being that I'm a regular and I already paid) but I was wrong as she replied $0.10 each. I know most stores nowadays all do the self checkout and charge customers for bags. Just because the majority of stores do this still...
