I would advise all not to ever deal with this particular Verizon store( sunrise Hwy in Merrick). The salesmen are complete scam artists. The first time I went because my phone was not working. Unfortunately, I needed to buy a new phone. My only stipulation was that I didnât want my monthly bill to go up. The salesman insisted it wouldnât and that he could package things together to keep it down. One of the things he bundled together was the Hum. Needless to say I now pay an extra $10 each month going forward for this device I didnât need, making my bill more than it initially was. He never even told me it would be a monthly cost! When I spoke to Verizon, and tried to cancel it they said it would cost me $115. Unbelievable!! When I explained what happened they suggested I go to the store manager because the salesman did it for the commission. The guy was quite savvy, he even had me switch to automatic payments so I didnât know I was being charged until the grace period was over. He also told me he used the hum and switched it between cars, especially when he goes away and rents a car. When I looked on the app, it says you canât switch between cars and if you do you have to call customer service. Unfortunately, a few days after my phone broke, my husbandâs phone broke. We went back to them because I thought I had had a good experience. The guy that helped my husband wasnât as savvy. He was an arrogant salesman who was obvious about trying to swindle us. We walked out and purchased a phone at the Verizon on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown. The salesman Brian, was very helpful and even told us about a phone my husband could get that would finish paying his last phone as a promotion. I would definitely recommend the Levittown Verizon and suggest to all to never ever go to the...
Read moreAt last I capture the message my head & heart composed about my superlative experience at Verizon in Merrick! On April 1st my fully charged phone lost power on a 20 minute drive to a work site. I plugged in on arrival, and after 5 minutes phone shut down. In a panic, fearing I'd lose years of precious photos, messages & contacts I headed to Verizon in Merrick. From the moment I entered, and received a warm welcome & "someone will be with you shortly" I was confident all would be well! Acknowledging a customer makes all the difference and can set the tone for the entire experience. I had the good fortune of working with Jay Bokhari! No one appreciates respect, patience, & understanding - especially regarding technology - more than I do, and he was exemplary in every word & action! He assured me my photos & data would be "saved" and helped me decide on a replacement. The process took time and Jay treated me as if my urgent situation was his priority. I thanked him profusely for his incredible customer service and genuine kindness. That is what impressed me most - his words and actions were sincere and natural. A reflection of Who he is as a person. My phone was delivered 2 days later & when I returned to have it set up my experience was the same! Jay helped me every step of the way! I must say, I observed similar interactions between other staff & customers. I was sure to share praise with the manager before leaving! When my phone died on 4/1 it felt like an April Fool's prank, who knew it would lead to an April blessing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Jay and those in Merrick who prove there are wonderful, professional people who truly...
Read moreNever shopping here again for any services whatsoever. Never met such a careless group of individuals no accommodations whatsoever. At first we called and said what do we need for the phone pickup, we were told on the phone just come with your identification youâre an authorized user. Once arriving we were told we need the credit card that was used to place the order and identification which wasnât told to us on the phone. So I come back to the store at 6:58 when it closes at 7 they are already locking the store up all they need to released my phone is to look at my identification and the card that was used to place the order. So not only was it an inconvenience you told me one thing on the phone and then another thing in person I hustle and rush to get back to the store before closing time for you to tell me we canât open the door, I could understand if it was a whole process but my phone was bagged up ready to go they just needed to see the identification and card used. Itâs okay I will come back tomorrow morning at 10 AM and pick up the new phone but first impression is everything, I couldâve made a scene about the policy but I didnât, I couldâve made a scene about them closing the doors earlier than expected but I didnât I just wouldnât recommend anyone to shop here at all. First impressions are everything, every encounter I had today in that store...
