The absolute worst dating company, it thrives on taking your money and not catering to the Customer. Many complaints to Gail, very few ever get resolved. I’m sharing my latest negative experience.

I attended a speed dating event in Plainview recently at the Main Event. The event started off bad by running late, the bar area to wait was jam packed and very loud. Upon arrival I had to squeeze in between people and it was difficult to have a decent conversation with other people attending. This is an important part of speed dating to make first impressions but it was difficult given the noise level and no quiet space for us. There was no food out while we waited for the event to begin. Once the event began noise level was still a major issue we literally had to yell to be heard. The potential matches were nice, no issue there. After it was over then we were given food, which should have been before because it was cold sitting in the dining area.

The biggest issue is what happened after I got my results the next day. I’ll call her “S”. Gail’s email to me stated S put me down as a DATE match. I contacted her and got no response after 3 days. I found that odd given the strong match. I contacted Gail asking to please contact her for me. Long story short, Gail told me she only put me as a FRIEND match, explaining why I didn’t hear from her our match level was not strong. It happens, and I accept that. What got me really upset is Gail’s denial that she sent me the wrong information on our match level in the initial follow up match email, which is a huge deal in speed dating and makes a big difference friend or date match. I was initially told date match, not friend match. How can you mix up information literally marked down on paper? I got no apology from Gail for the mistake she made. I questioned this because if this mistake happened to me, how many other potential matches/ incorrect matches did other people get the same night? Potentially wasting our time and money. I told Gail that I was unhappy with her response to my complaint and did not wish to attend any more speed dating events. She did not offer any apology whatsoever for her mistake and claims that it’s not her company’s fault this happened. I have been to other speed dating events through other companies and if anything like this happened they would not only apologize but offer a free makeup event for the mistake. Gail offered nothing. I DID however say some of her social events were fun to just get out of the house and socialize. But using trying to sign up for a future social event see she blocked me from signing up for any more in the future. Immaturity at its finest.

Ok Gail, it’s clear you can’t accept the truth about your lousy business and your terrible attitude you can do no wrong is going to be your business’s downfall. Check out Jessica’s review, we are friends and I will back up everything she said in her review.

In 2024 in August I was on the Captree cruise and it was thunder, lightning, and rain. Very unsafe cruise and I got wet from heavy rain coming into the boat windows. It should have been cancelled, and anyone I know I showed videos of it as proof said the same. One of your reviewers Heather Cohen was on the cruise with me. She was not happy at all on that day when I spoke with her and her friend and could not wait to get off the cruise.

The aquarium was terrible this September. There is no behind the scenes tour for sick animals we paid for, that’s been done for years. Gail said she wasn’t aware, but this was my SECOND time going to aquarium so I knew she was lying since she was there the year before. Only behind the scenes equipment which was not worth it. I called aquarium ahead of time to ask myself and they confirmed. I put in a complaint about your business saying you were charging us for that animal tour when it never was a thing, and others attending said the same. Ask anyone who attended.

Avoid these events at all cost unless you don’t care about finding a date or where your money goes.

The dating event idea and places events are held run by Gail aren’t the issue, under normal circumstances they can be very fun. The problem is Gail and how she runs and handles the events and issues with them.

To start, many of the Men I have met at these events were NOT single. I found that out the hard way. Anybody not single does not belong at a singles event. While I did not say anything to Gail, I have a friend who did say names of some men not single and said these people should have been banned from attending future singles events for lying, nothing was done about them by Gail and I saw them at other events.

The refund policy sucks, you’ll never get a money refund. Other reliable businesses guarantee a full or partial refund for bad events or ones cancelled. Gail only offers a discount on future events, which if like me you had a bad experience you don’t want to attend future events. Myself and others were put in danger on a singles cruise during thunder and lighting and pouring rain. The event should have been cancelled, but Gail said no. No refunds, we all got soaking wet and were terrified. Some day someone is going to get hurt and Gail will get sued. It’s a matter of time. I don’t know who legally allows this Asanine refund policy but credit only but it needs to be stopped.

There were other events that were misleading, (ex. says food was provided or certain activities included in price) and when you attend what was promised was not given to you, and Gail never apologized or offered a money refund. She’s a crook taking our money.

The mixed age events are the worst, don’t attend them to meet singles. I went to one outing and all the attendees were in their sixties hitting on me, I am in my thirties. I felt VERY uncomfortable! Gail should make a Quota that certain ratios of different age groups attend for this reason, or let me know a day or two ahead nobody attending is my age so I can cancel going and get a FULL refund because it was a complete waste of time and money.

It’s unfortunate this company runs things this way and takes advantage of people. I will never attend another event run...

Gail does such an incredible job of bringing people together from all walks of life. Unlike other events where you might just end up with surface-level chatter, she organizes very stimulating, engaging, and genuinely fun activities that get you out there and interacting such as cooking classes, horseback riding, and historic tours. Whether you end up meeting a potential romantic partner, making a few new friends, or simply enjoying the group energy and going out for dinner afterwards, it’s always an enjoyable and social experience.

What I really appreciate is that Gail creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, thoughtful, and far more meaningful than the typical “yapping across the table” setups for a couple minutes. Her events are refreshing, purposeful, educational, and leave you feeling connected. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for something more than the usual.

In fact, it sounds like somebody that I met with my friend named Keith who resembled Gumby and he was super dissatisfied about the world. After we got off the boat, he tailed us for a bit; even asked us for a photo whilst walking to the cars. We figured he needed proof for his mother. I was on that Captree cruise with my friend KM, and we actually had a blast, together. Nothing romantic came out of it, but it was a fun activity. I loved the thunder and lightning because I like rainy weather, and remember laughing the entire time. No captain would ever take a vessel out if it were unsafe.
