Melville Deli & catering — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

This deli is a hidden gem for sure. In an area with zero good deli's in sight, Melville deli rises to the occasion. Located on Rt 110 between the LIE and northern state pkwy, there are very convenient for pick up. If you commute, call ahead and they'll have it ready, they open early. I've had several paninis and salads from them. They all rock. I just had a grilled chicken caesar salad that was one of the best I've gotten taken out. The people are so nice and the owner is a great guy. They have so many other food choices that I have to branch out. Empanadas and a nice roast beef hero are next on my list. I really think the prices are fair, especially because the quality is awesome. I fear cold cuts from slow delis because they dont use enough to be fresh. Not here! They move their food and make most things fresh to order. I never realized the importance of a great deli. Having grown up in queens, i was spoiled. I moved here and thought, oh well for years. Went into this deli for the first time today and it definitely won't be the last. Super friendly staff which to me is just as important as good food. I was met with all smiles as I chatted with Andy and Simon, they were so welcoming! Everyone else actually looked happy to be there which you don't see often nowadays. Speaking of good food, I got a chicken Dijon hero that was fresh, delicious, and HUGE; I will have to eat the other half for lunch tomorrow. Rounded off with a really tasty coleslaw, and they were even nice enough to give me a "sample" of their banana bread which is not really a sample bc it's huge and I can't wait to give it a try. Came in 10 minutes before they were closing, I noticed they were cleaning up, and about to go home for the day since everything was packed away, so I started to walk out when the gentleman there stopped me, and said not to go he will help me. I felt extremely bad, because he was finishing cleaning up and took my order with no hesitation. I was so impressed with his positive attitude, his will to help me, and amazed by the delicious food. I would definitely go back, and when it comes to ordering any catering they will be on the top of my list. Great customer service goes a LONG WAY! I applaud...
