Laundry Mall — Local services in Town of Huntington

UPDATE: It is laughable that the owner would use my review to promote her business with no shame at all. Absolutely disregarding any responsibility for her actions. What a joke of a business owner. Huntington is not an easy town to succeed in. You should have done your homework. Good Luck! —————————————————————— I waited to write this review. I wanted to see what the latest opinions were for the new owner. I didn’t want to be impulsive. I had been going to Laundry Mall for over a decade. Although they have limited hours and are a little pricey, the staff was always friendly and that seemed to make up for those shortcomings. A new owner took over who at first seemed fake friendly, but that quickly changed. The second week in, I started my usual weekly loads one Saturday and accidentally left out a couple of items. For over a decade, if I ever made that mistake, the staff was more than happy to turn off the machine and help me restart it so I could get my wash done all at once and with no added cost. Within that second week she bought Laundry Mall, I made that mistake which I did many times. My bad, that’s what happens when you support yourself and you’re always just tired. Within 30 seconds, I said oh my goodness I left out my sheets by accident can you help me to one of the employees and of course now that needed an executive decision. The owner, no clue her name, had to come over and she said that’s too bad, I can’t help you. I said they have always restarted the machines she replied with sorry and I said this will be the last time I’m coming here. She said OK no problem and walked away from me. She lost a loyal, weekly customer for $3.50. Good for her! I went back to my old place and pay a third less. No card system. No drama. Unfortunately for her, money works everywhere. I love coming here machines are nice and big. Especially the large dryers the main reason why I love it here. But today I was a little peeved mainly because the laundry mall was empty apart from myself there about 3-4 other ppl here so it’s empty and all the dryers are too yet the most convenient dryers that save me time are all being used and I get it they have work to do but this as a customer is an inconvenience plus they have a dryer that is specially labeled service and they are using that one and the other two and ones out of service so it’s 4 huge dryers all being used meanwhile I made 8 small machines and separated all the clothes 🥲 when I could’ve just thrown...

The dryers take for ever to dry, as if they seem not to work or get hot enough it cost me over $4 to dry my clothes per dryer, total rip off on the dryers. The washing machines I used didn't look like it had enough water to wash any clothes, just made them wet barely, and the spin cycle isn't fast enough to properly ring out my laundry, part of the reason it takes so long to dry my clothes, in no way would I recommend this laundromat, stay away from this place, but it is kept clean.
