THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased A washer Dryer Combo on September 22nd and was told Delivery would be between Oct 1 and 7th, 2024. I did not question the delivery timeframe at that moment however, I wish I had. What unfolded afterward will ensure that I will never shop or walk back into a Home Depot Store ever again.
The customer service with Home Depot, NSD Trucking and the Home Depot Credit Card personal was so extremely disrespectful, rude and humiliating beyond belief. At one point the Home Depot Credit Service Personal accused me of lying and that the item had in fact been delivered on October 1st, 2024 at 12:19pm.
I have security footage, dated and time stamped to provide proof that the washing/dryer was never delivered. Plus, I was told to go into Home Depot in Huntington, NY and show them the footage. I did and the supervisor said it was here saying. The security system is triggered by motion and the supervisor could not understand that. Between the hours on 11:43am and 12:19 pm nothing triggered cameras until my Gardener arrived at 12:20 pm on October 1st, 2024. The Trucking Company had NOT delivered anything at 12:19pm on that day. Security Cameras do not Lie. The trucking company said they left it on my garage door.
I DO NOT HAVE ONE A GARAGE OR A GARAGE DOOR.
In the last 40 days, I have spent approximately 30 hours, between 100 phone calls and six visits to Home Depot in Huntington, wasting my time and not getting anywhere. A company such as Home Depot, which prides itself on the best customer service, turns around and treats a loyal customer so rudely and disrespectfully, which has me completely dumbfounded beyond disbelief.
THE DISPABLE TREATMENT FROM HOME DEPOT AND THE CREDIT CARD SERVICE . THIS STILL HAS RESOLVED I WILL NOT ENTER THERE AGAIN. THE HOME CREDIT CARD IS NOW SAYING THAT I NEED TO TAKE THIS UP WITH THE SHIPPING COMPANY..
THIS IS SO UNBELIEVABLE SCREWED UP IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY AT THIS POINT. I STILL HAVE TH $1400.00 ON MY CREDIT CARD FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS...
Read moreAwful experience with staff on four separate occasions.
First I had to cancel a microwave we ordered because it was arriving late and a staff member at the store was insistent we had to pay a restocking fee. I called main Home Depot customer service instead and they said that was blatantly false and gave me a full refund over the phone with no restocking fee needed.
Second I had a store credit which I pulled out and asked to use at checkout but the cashier ignored me without saying a word and told me to give her my credit card, so I did and after she swiped it I asked to apply the credit too and then she tells me I was supposed to give that first and that I couldn’t apply the credit now…despite me literally pulling the store credit out and asking her to use it first. Even if she didn’t hear me, I was not given the option to cancel the purchase and rescan it with the credit.
Third I needed an extension cable for a leaf blower. I was told the store didn’t have any cable that would fit it and it was a weird outlet they never saw. So I ended up returning the leaf blower. I checked with a more knowledgable family member days later and they said the leaf blower had a simple two prong plug and any standard extension would have fit it. Now I have to order that same one I returned.
Fourth I asked for HVAC help and the customer service worker had no idea what an HVAC was and what I was asking for despite a literal ad for it right behind her station.
Most occasions people were kind and tried to be helpful but they clearly lack basic knowledge...
Read moreI used to think this store could do no wrong. Always had product in stock, helpful/knowledgeable sales people and pricing that can’t be beat. But recently it has all slipped. I am finding I can get all that from Riverhead Lumber right around the corner. Let me elaborate. I had a heated argument with the assistant manager with some issues I had. I went there to pick up 360 sq ft of tile last week. Employee wrote up order for me to pick up in Syosset. Got to Syosset, paid for material while employees loaded SUV. Get half way home, checked numbers on product and order was 1 digit off. Drive back, return material and have to drive all the way to Commack to fulfill order. Half a day wasted. You think the madness would end there. I go back to order drywall, insulation and drywall mud. You think they could deliver 17 sheets by pick up truck. Nooooo! The order goes to Commack and delivered by semi which can’t get down my driveway yet alone the road. Had argument with assistant manager and he tells me it “automatically goes to closer store for delivery and employee didn’t write anything else in note except to call me before delivery”. Fortunately, the back end jitney could and I felt relieved. But I get the product and check the order and they gave me wrong mud. Pro Desk had to deliver by truck....
