Walgreens — Local services in Town of Huntington

This pharmacy has gone completely down hill the last couple months. Zero customer service if there are any issues or confusion with the insurance/doctor/pharmacy. I had back surgery this morning and I went straight to the pharmacy afterward to pick up the pain medication I was prescribed. When got to the pharmacy I spoke to a pharmacy tech named Bruno who told me I had to call the doctor because the medication hadn’t yet been authorized. For as long as I have lived it has been the responsibility of the pharmacy to connect with the doctor or insurance when issues like that arise so they can quickly resolve it. So fresh out of back surgery I was denied my medication and told I would have to call my doctor/insurance to figure it out. I called my doctor and they told me I should not be the one in the middle in the circumstance. I would give 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I went in looking for a squishmallow (a toy). They didn’t have it so we left. Employee Susan follows us out to our car and takes a picture of our license plate and accuses us of theft. I ask her if anything is wrong and she runs away from me while saying something about how “oh look you didn’t bring your bag back in go figure” (left my bag in the car because I got out to ask her if something was wrong). I call the cops and she tells them that she knows we didn’t steal anything. Then why follow us out, take a picture of our plate and accuse us? I’ve never had something like this happen before. I was traveling through town and needed to pick up an emergency med so my dr called it in and asked for a rush. I checked with Roxanne the pharmacist to see if there was any way to fill the script before their lunch break (45 min) and explained my kids were outside sitting in our packed car waiting to pick this up so we could get on with our trip. She could NOT have been LESS helpful. She just wouldn’t do it. Two hours later it’s finally ready to pick up. I’m a little grumpy about it. Hence the review 😕 if I could give zero...
